Under New Management (For Now) ft. Jam & Cherry (Patreon)

The third and final piece of Kiera's commission set was a special birthday commission for me to let me draw what I wanted. Thank you very much, once again Kiera for this kind gesture! It's always appreciated. And with that I was able to finally finish off A character I started in late August but never had the time to complete. Cherry Chill (C.C., Cherry, Cher) Included the concept art for her as well. And a taped version to see how the character would look with one and because I can lol.

Bit about Cherry:

Cherry is explicitly designed to be a foil for Jam. Aside from an unexplained ability to leech life from anything she touches, Cherry is no a nobody. A mortal who is inexplicably drawn to and has an affinity to track down Jam. Without any ability to dimension hop, Cher finds herself waking up everyday in what ever universe or dimension Jam happens to take up. Until finally successful in tracking her down. As for her motive? There is none. About the same motive as why we at the Facility do what we do: simply because we can.

Cherry's Design:

As for her look, Cherry is canonically born in the Willenium era (1999-2000). Making her gen Z, growing up idolizing the late 90's pop culture (i.e. Britney's "Ooops I did it again" red latex body suit and color scheme a nod to the Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider, Spiderman popular at the time.) Cherry also has a latex hood that I didn't get around to designing. Being a mortal and absorbing the powers of a cosmic being, assaults and overwhelms her senses and in most cases she NEEDS to have her senses deprived. (Down the line hopefully I can showcase an encased Cherry). A canonical part of Cherry's design is actually leashing around  and carrying a bound and gvgged Jam, which she uses as a battery once she feels Jam's powers weakening inside her. Clearly based on X-men's Rogue, all it takes is a touch from Cher and Jam continues to remain her pet.
