I learned a few important things from this year’s TampaCon.
Setting up my September Sparks books with a spooky little display does in fact make people curious about them, even if many kids just wanted to buy my jar or eyeballs or ray gun. I sold more comics this year than any other and I hope to have a lot of new young readers!

I also learned that many other artists with a more unique and spooky style do not do well here in Tampa. I’ve been wondering why it seems like I do just okay, while a lot of other booths are swamped, and talking to some artists that I just loved who were struggling, they said Orlando is a totally different crowd, more willing to step outside the boxes of Disney, Marvel, and anime.
Next year, I’m going for the big show, MegaCon Orlando, and I’m going to try for a big booth.

Thanks to all of you for your support! This is how I can do these shows to begin with, print my comics and stickers, and it’s such a pleasure each time I get to do it.

Wish I could have stayed and explored more and bought something. Instead, I signed up as a Patreon, so I'm on the subscription plan 😏
