What Kabuto didn't comprehend about the Rasengan was the fact that it's a jutsu that primarily focuses on inflicting internal damage, so while he could heal the wounds he sustained on the outside, he couldn't address what was done internally.

The necklace has the 1st hokages abilty to control tailed beast which could have played a part in saving Nafruto. The kyuubi was about at lights out and then was able to increase after the tear drops. Pure speculation but it could have been her will and bloodline making the necklace work for its intended purpose. Naruto's willpower is the biggest part of it though and obv she did her healing on him.

They nerf Jiraiya so hard in this arch to give Tsunade the spotlight. Pain arch Jiraiya you see why he felt comfortable taking Itachi and Kissame on one-on-two. In this whole fight he looks like a goof.

The necklace was never cursed in a literal sense. It's more of a superstition because she gave it to her little brother as a gift first, who then died a day later. Then years later she gave it to her lover, and then he died in the next battle. Its never been actually cursed with a jutsu or spell, its only been deemed "cursed" because both people Tsunade has given it to has died after getting it.
