Your reactions to the teacher will never not be funny XD. Yeah, I liked how this episode gave focus to the side characters too. I actually think that the point of the end of the episode was to show that Mayumi and the teacher just want someone like Rin (as opposed to being interested in Rin himself). Since the teacher is...well, a teacher. And I do think Mayumi definitely sees him more as a friend. Plus, Rin already has his hands full with the harem as it is. We don't need new additions XD.
