Percy and Jason run afoul of a sinister sprite in its secret grotto. Afer becoming enraptured by the mind bending pollen, the sprite drains their essence and transfers them to something his own size, turning them into mushroom sprites while their bodies are petrified to add to the other sculptures in the grotto.
