Today's DragonCon preview is of dragons, and the lunatics who set out to slay them, or ride them, or keep them in their basement...

This flight of dragons is from a chapter book Annie and I recently illustrated. (I can't mention the name of this one yet either.  2023 seems to have been just tons of NDA work for me, which I said I wouldn't take any more of, but the projects have just been too cool to pass up!)

And I thought I'd share a little bit of kit upgrade that I made recently which has been a huge quality-of-life upgrade to my drawing board: 

This little lamp is especially useful in evenings when we will try to catch an hour of a show after the kids go to sleep. No one wants intense bright lights while watching tv, but drawing in the dark kills my eyes.  This little clip lamp has been perfect! I'm not sure why I didn't buy one sooner. (I have literally been holding my phone light over my drawing like some kind of caveman all this time.) The light clips to anything, charges fast and holds a charge for days, is sufficiently bright, and is lightweight and low profile enough to carry around on the board. Definitely one of the best little additions to my travel setup I've made in a while.
