This is a "very" British show! I'm surprised an American can appreciate it ! Pleasently surprised!! :)

I always remembered this from childhood as a classic but (and maybe I'm swung by KB's comments at the end) in hindsight it is one of the weaker episodes. As KB said the plot outline was great but they could have done so much more with it. It would have worked better as a feature length special and actually filmed on location on Spain. I think what was really missing was actually seeing Rodney doing the activities which would have made the ridiculousness of the situation even funnier than them just happening off-screen and talked about. Think Del on the hand glider for example, that wouldn't have worked anywhere near as well as it did had that situation just been delivered via lines as opposed to actually seeing him in that situation. Fun Fact: a million pesetas in 1988 was worth around £4,750 or $8,850

Alan in this (Mike Stevens), plays the British Consulate in your favourite show, Benidorm ;) I love this episode, Rodney being enrolled into the Groovy Gang brings back memories of a similar painful experience of being put in a kids club whilst on holiday, but being a bit older than the rest. Not everyone likes Cassandra's actress, but I do, I think she plays the part perfectly and bounces off Rodney's character well. Grooovy!!!!

Mallorca (Majorca) is a Spanish island in the Balearic groups. Kevin and Perry went to its smaller neighbour, Ibiza. It is the most popular holiday destination for Brits. Over 2mil Brits go there every year. We've all been there at some point in our lives. Has hot summers, mediterranean beaches, and is <2.5 hours from London.

Check out Count Duckula, David Jason was the voice! Amazing cartoon! He did many others like Danger mouse!
