WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS INTRO!?!?

Daniel Colton

I've been hoping for this for 2 years pol

Rob Green

Good decision

Cal

Yesssss

Joshua

Delighted that you're starting this!

Mema Random

I loved this series first time around, glad to be watching again with fresh eyes. After this with Queen Boomer you should do "Ghosts" UK version (not US re-make, although as US re-makes go it isn't all that bad) modern wholesome cute show by the people who made Horrible Histories.

Rhys Jones

Interesting choice, I’m glad you chose it! I’m not sure if I find fresh meat funny or not, it’s one of those ones that I’ll put on for a rainy day if I’m bored. I hope you enjoy it! (Just waiting for Alan Partridge KMKY)

BigChanChan

I think there's a lot of reverse snobbery about Jack Whitehall because he's posh and is why he's not always liked... I'm just not that keen because he's not funny.

Rhys Jones

I reckon you should do this reaction with QB

Toby Lewis

One of my favourite shows. After work reactions just finished it, now I get to watch it again!

BigChanChan

UK TV comedy shows died about 2015 and is why you haven't watched modern ones... There's one or two exceptions but most of the good stuff is from 10+ years ago.

Dango247

😭😭😭😭😭🥱

CiaranBooth

What a fucking amazing show to react to. Didnt even enter my mind to suggest it!

Craig McCulloch

Its nothing to do with his social standing - he isnt funny , has the charisma , mental age persona and charm of a 14 year old boy and is constantly offered anything James Corden rejects (dont get me started with that thing) And BBC1 and channel 4 keep hiring him...

Z is for Zed

I don't like Whitehall, but will admit he can be funny. Corden however...

Craig McCulloch

Simon was the one on the Inbetweeners that got lucky the most - 1 was an underaged girl dry wanking him in a pre teens party before a 12 year old messed him up. Not one you'd brag about .😅😅

Duncan

pah, i think Im out of here for a couple of months, catch you laters

pem

Look into 'ideal✌🏻

Cal

I don’t really know why people hate Jack I think he’s fine, and his character in this is really funny

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

I don't have a strong opinion on Jack, either way. I don't know him well. Sure, he's pretty much the opposite of me, class/nationality, etc, but that's no reason to dislike him. As for his character and the others on the show, I think they do a pretty good job representing the various early college/uni stereotypes. The way Jack's character, for instance, bragged about sleeping with the girl, just after she left, it's so typical of young lad-ish behaviour that most reasonable guys grew out of by their early twenties. Then there's the girl who's studious and worried about upsetting her flatmate, but she's also worried about messing up at uni, and being too timid to speak up for herself.

matthew lockyer

Loved this show. Very pleased that you are going to react to it.

Daniel Colton

Jacks character reminds me so much of Jay from inbetweeners but also Jeremy from peep show lol

AitchyB

I used to play football with jack Whitehall and thought he was a perfectly alright fella, see no reason to hate on him

Jon

I don’t understand the hate with show choices. If you don’t like it don’t watch it 🤷🏼‍♂️ I personally love Fresh Meat, it came out while I was at uni and always gives me nostalgia.

Joshua

Some people are just weirdly passive aggressive on these reaction channels. They don't seem to grasp that entertainment/comedy is subjective, and they seem to perceive it as a big insult when a reactor watches a show they don't like. Ignore the idiots, KB.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Same, and I am not familiar with the show. But if it's not something you're interested in, move on. I think the internet and having so many options and having it instantly, has made many of us spoiled and bratty.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Yup, and they think they're the centre of the world. Just because they don't like something, it doesn't mean no one else does.

BigChanChan

Hmm, not sure about this one... I'll give it a few episodes to get funnier, hopefully it does.

Z is for Zed

Personally can't stand Benidorm or Plebs, but I found a great hack - the videos don't play if you don't click on them when they appear. It's a great feature and all the other shows KB's reacting to still seem to work when you do that.

GHKY HNeu

Yeah true, but at the same time, if you give your audience 3 options, the people who don't care for any of the shows just won't end up voting at all, and you won't know what they think, whereas all the audience members who happen to like one of those shows you picked will pile in on the voting, making it appear as though that's what the majority of your audience wants, but it may not be. If there was a 4th option "None of these", you'd get a much better picture on how popular the shows actually are. I'm pleased you're watching Phoenix nights, I'm gonna be sticking around for that for sure.

Ferris

Yeeeeees!!!! Best choice. What a result for friday

Ferris

Stick with it. I tried and failed a few times to get into it. But it's actually really good when you do

Doug Farrington

You go on a journey with Jack Whitehall's character and explore all of his personality.

Joshua

Yeah but he put those options in the poll because they were the most requested in the comments. Then he put them to a poll. It's the best way. I think you'll find only a minority of people will like any one show. There's not going to be mass approval for anything. If he included 'none of the above' then he'd end up watching nothing!

Sir Goopington

If you find youself liking Jack Whitehall in this I’d stick Bad Education where he plays a history teacher on the growing pile of suggestions. First 3 seasons and the movie might be your style, not so sure about the 2 seasons after the revival though.

Jay

Never seen this before, so I'm looking forward to the reactions. Not sure why some Patreon subs get so weirdly irate over shows (or comedians) they dislike, as the channel is not solely for their personal interests, It's for everyone. Far easier just to not watch things you dislike and do something else instead.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Well said. Yes, you won't find more than 50% liking any one show. It's always going to appeal to a minority. The poll featured three shows that KB regularly gets recommended to him. Plus he wanted a newer show on because a lot have been older shows.

GHKY HNeu

I respectfully disagree, some shows are just so popular that they'd get voted to the moon, examples, Inbetweeners, Peep Show, OFAH etc.

THEkingboomer

@GHKY those 3 options were there for 2 reasons. First, because they were 3 of the most requested shows. Second, because as someone pointed out once the Plebs reactions end, nearly all of the shows I react to are over 15+ years old. So the three options in the poll were there because of their popularity and because they are more modern choices. I like to have reactions for everyone. You can just stop reading here and watch the intro of this reaction and it’s pretty much the same. But it’s shit like this why I am probably never doing polls ever again. You’re right, if I had put up “none of these as an option” then it may have won. And then what’s next on the agenda, reacting to nothing? Stopping what I’m doing so I can pay attention to a couple of disgruntled patrons who think their requests hold more weight than everyone else’s? Because that’s what it really boils down to, people angry that I’m not watching what they want me to watch. Do you know how many messages I get a day whether they are public comments or private messages or emails saying “everything you react to sucks, you should be watching….” and then they write down a list of shows that would have me reacting to everything that ever existed until the end of time? I probably get over a dozen of those a day. More like 2 dozen a day now ever since I put up that poll. The bottom line is I pick shows based on a variety of reasons. It can be popularity, the era in which it was made, how different it is from everything else in reacting to etc. You know why I do that? So there’s something in this Patreon for everyone to enjoy. If I only watched OFAH, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and whatever other shows were made prior to the invention of the laptop, who are the only people enjoying the Patreon? The answer is the ones who were born before the invention of the laptop. If I only reacted to The Inbetweeners, Fresh Meat, Plebs and Misfits. You know which Patrons would enjoy what I was reacting to? The ones that just discovered their pubic hair, that’s who. But I don’t have a Patreon like that. My Patreon has reactions for people of all ages to enjoy and I’m proud of that. I also plan to keep it that way.

Nonautomaton

I binged through this entire show over the course of a week-end a few year ago and really liked it; Hope you enjoy it, KB!

Joe

People dont like Jack because hes posh, its a reverse snobbery thing. His character in this is great though.

Peter Andrews

I voted Brassic, because I really love that show and hope you get to react to it one day. Misfits didn't really take my fancy as saw a couple years ago and was so-so. BUT, I am glad you did because I watched along anyway and enjoyed it more then I thought I would and will continue watching along for the ride and opinions. Never pleasse everyone, but that's ok, true fans will stay by your side :)

Mike Currie

Jack Whitehall is a bit of a twat but I certainly don't hate him. I've enjoyed some of his shows and even his stand up. Not my favourite comedian/actor but he's not bad for a muppet!

Jason Bonner

I voted for Brassic but I'm not going to loose my shit and claim the vote was stolen or storm the Senate, Fresh Meat is fair option for me and you'll likely get round to the shows that I recommend eventually. I always thought Jack Whitehall funny, maybe it's a generational thing. The problem with newer shows is they can split opinion whereas older shows become national treasures with time, they gain the nostalgia vote. I would recommend modern shows such as the BBC's Ghosts, Channel 4's Home, BBC's 'Cuckoo' or 'Count Arthur Strong' or even newer Disney+ 'Exterondinary'.

Industrialist2015ofUk

Not my thing, and i've never heard of brassic... Misfits is freakin genius epic-comedy!

Reece Brown

All the choices are class . Look forward to maybe seeing them all.

Matt

Neil got the most (not counting Jay's legendary and totally true body count of course). Neil fingered and got wanked off by the emo punk girl, got saucy Karen pregnant, blowjob from the tall girl, fingered Charlotte, fingered the girls from the two Jay's party, girl from the first inbetweeners movie. Probably more that I'm forgetting

Duncan

at the moment the only show I like is Phoenix Nights and that’s only ok, so not much for me here, don’t take offence though I’ll be back in a couple of months to see what else your reacting to 👍

SnakeYikes

Jack Whitehall is a bit of a twat but I can't really think of a time I didn't enjoy him in a show. He is great in this show and Bad education.

Matt

I never hated him but never really liked him. People tend not to like Jack Whitehall as he reminds us of the posh boarding school bellends we've all met and tend to work under at some point of our lives. I think starting off as a fairly young stand up never did him no favours too as it comes up rather condescending of let me point out everything wrong about the world from my limited few years i've existed on this earth. It kind of comes across like an industry plant who was push unto us by nepotism and classism with media companies not even bothering to pretend it isn't the case. I don't actually think that as I've seen his material and think he knows his way around a joke so to speak but still don't his particularly funny tbh

Rich

Fresh meat 👌👌👌

L M

yesssss kb

Doug Farrington

I love Fresh Meat and glad KB is doing it. When the Patreon notification pinged on my phone when I was driving down the A12 I pretty much drove straight to McDonalds at Colchester and watched it in the car park whilst deep throating Chicken Selects. I was 1hr late home. True story.

ryung246

Looks like a pretty reasonable split between old school and modern shows to me? Fawlty Towers (1975) Only fools and horses (1981) Red Dwarf (1988) Bottom (1991) Father Ted (1995) Alan Partridge (1997) Black Books (2000) Phoenix Nights (2001) Peep Show (2003) IT Crowd (2006) The Inbetweeners (2008) Fresh Meat (2011) Friday Night Dinner (2011) Plebs (2013) Man Down (2013)

Oliver

I've always found Jack Whitehall annoying, and this show hasn't changed my mind. I think he plays these characters cos he doesn't really need to act - he just plays himself. I'm liking this show though - makes me nostalgic for uni days. Looking forward to keep watching.

emu cat

I think KB might wait til after Plebs before starting Brassic, just my conspiracy theory. I've not seen it yet but I will watch it here first.

emu cat

Poor Jack, Typecast again. heh.

R Lawrence

He's just lived alone for so long he hasn't had any need to dress properly, and being a student that needs money and found a way to make money with those ducks probably selling the finished product to a Chinese restaurant, it's more English random humour it's not meant to literally implying anything obscene in this instance. (I'm not sure if you have peking duck in America either cause you have those white ones only, ours are a hybrid of peeking duck and a different species so they're not white).

Jason Scade

Brassic is faintly similar Snatch. Practically every episode, the main gang/cast get into some hair-brained scheme to rob or steal some specific thing that they need for something else. It gets convoluted, like Snatch. :P

BR90s

Misfits is great and dark place is great also

BR90s

Green wing is also great

Graham Goldberg

Can’t wait to watch this. Never did get round to watching it at the time.

BigChanChan

I agree but if we start having votes on everything then it's just going to be all shows geared to student tastes and a younger audience... It's pretty obvious what the main demographic is in here!... I don't mind a few of them, I'm happy as long as I have 2 shows I can watch each week but I hope KB stays a bit of a dictator rather than going fully democratic and giving us the vote on everything!

BigChanChan

Literally everyone who is saying they like it are doing so because it brings back some nostalgia about uni... That kind of backs up my thought on why it won the vote in the first place!

BigChanChan

I think he's probably a decent enough bloke, annoying yes but not a complete bell-end and someone to hate like James Corden!

Jay

Every single thing that KB has reacted to up until now (perhaps with the exception of Plebs) has been old school comedy. It seems a bit odd to believe that younger "student tastes" are going to take over the channel, because a modern comedy has suddenly slipped in. Perhaps you're being a bit over-reactionary?

DM Punk

46:32 It's called a Bindi which is essentially like jewellery (usually a stick-on) worn on the forehead originating in India

Jake Lol

good choice, also i hope you can ignore the hate on james corden and do gavin and stacey soon :) his character is so funny

Kasper Bruun

reverse snobbery? so you say its people proud of being common and therefore doesn't like Jack? sounds like a UK class specific thing. maybe its because people think that he has had everything handed to him in life and people see them not liking his comedy and person as proof of him being handed everything unjustly, as he is well off and his dad manage actors but he doesn't deserve it and him being posh doesn't exactly help. just my idea about it. sorry for the grammar, its my second language :)

R Lawrence

He just meant he got it off a dealer he hasn't bought off before, he wasn't saying someone gave me the this powder for no reason and said its coke

The Everything Guy

i've had a pint with jack randomly, i hated him before that, but he was honestly such a nice guy in person. so interested in our group of friends and not at all an ego maniac like i assumed he was.

R Lawrence

Now there's no peep, IT, or Partridge, all my shows are done, but if he likes this one i'll still have one to watch...Surely you don't watch all the reactions anyway, it can't be that bad if he likes this one.

Adam

Yeah this definitely represented British Uni life in the 2000s. A load of people from completely different backgrounds having to work out how to get along! It was brilliant!

DJGRAY1 Music And Comedy

I have never watched Fresh Meat and i am not watching anymore of this lol like Black Books some shows are on Sky which you have to pay for so unless people have sky they wont of seen something like Brassic.

Dango247

Wake me up when this is over 😴

Dans_t16s

Oh dear, oh dear. This is utter tripe.

Adam

You may enjoy Gary the tank commander it’s on bbc Scotland

R Lawrence

Jack Whitehall won best comedy actor for like four years running while this was on TV so some people must like him, but its really just because he's too posh not to be annoying that a lot us find him annoying but he did help make this show good its just his exaggerated posh accent that he's not actually exaggerating that is irksome I'd say.

Stephen Morris

I have found Jack Whitehall a bit annoying when he is being himself. But when is acting I think he is very good. He was excellent in Good Omens.

SC

Jack Whitehall is playing a caricature/stereotype self-entitled rich boy with no moral compass. Ye he is a twat but I guess that’s what makes it funny as he’s such a cunt. You do empathise with him over time and his character definitely grows on you. I’d say he arguably becomes one of the funniest characters, IMO

Industrialist2015ofUk

i like Snatch 😁 wouldn't have guessed it was like that. Ta Also, there is a series called The Gentleman, by Guy ritchie

Adam T

I appreciate you catering to all boomerites KB! I feel like since the Father Ted and IT crowd reactions the demographic of boomerites has slightly shifted. I remember when you were reacting to Friday night dinner I saw loads of requests for shows like Fresh meat, outnumbered, Derry Girls etc. So these kind of comedies are clearly liked by people in the community, people need to understand.

Dannythedoodle

Yeah...I think you'll have to get QB in on this one 😄

Dannythedoodle

i live about a 30 minute walk from where this house is filmed.

Anthony Dearlove

You will grow to like Jack's character as the series progresses. He is brilliant in Bad Education, that would be a good modern show to react to.

jon d

Comedians have tended to come from working class backgrounds in the uk, and middle class comedians such as Jack Whitehall and Michael McIntyre are treated a bit warily. Fresh Meat was a good choice btw, Darkplace would be an even better one, Wink wink...

Richard Stokes

For years every time they did a vote for best comedian at various awards for some reason Jack Whitehall won. I've seen his stand up and it's not up to much so that was irritating to me and I'm guessing a lot of people. The younger generation seem to like him. Plus he comes across as a quintessential posh boy which doesn't go down well either. I find those things irritating, I won't lie. But I have to say he is perfectly cast because of that to play this role and is very good in this, and does seem to be a good comedy actor. I lived with a JP at university and it's all spot on!

jon d

...and yes, I think QB would enjoy this one too.

Kayleigh

Ghosts is a good shout for a more modern UK comedy 👍

Jason Scade

It's similar in the sense that the main characters very likeable but they aren't saints and they rob and steal in (I think) every episode but their hearts are in the right place (mostly). They're diamonds with rough edges. Also, things always go unexpectedly wrong with their hair-brained plans and situations end up chaotic. There's a gangster element introduced too. I wasn't aware of till I looked it up, Brassic means skint. Thanks re series. I need to re-watch film The Gentlemen first, it's been a while. 👍

R Lawrence

Glad you liked it...

Darren 23

Fresh Meat is a classic one but I'm afraid it's going to be another benedorm for you

Jason Scade

This was my first time seeing. Thought it was very good, I'm definitely wanting to see more! :D Shout out for 'The Day Today' (older *essential* UK comedy viewing, only 6 eps)

Tim Phillipson

I'm so thankful you're reacting to black books and phoenix nights. There's more alan partridge, tons more in fact!!! I'd love for you to find and react to "the house of fools" which has Bob Mortimer, Vic Reeves and Matt Berry in it, its totally bonkers and I can see you going berserk with it! Haha! It's possibly the most random sitcom ever!

Steve G

The UK class system is definitley one reason why some people don't like him. I wouldn't say it is because they are proud to be common, maybe for some people that is the reason, but everything else you said is quite likely why. Class discrimination is normal here, I'm working class and have ended up in a fight for no reason other than my voice could be considered "posh" sounding and that pub wasn't for posh people according to one guy lol.

LiamShaer7

I think people just dont like Jack Whitehall because he's posh, I think that's what makes him funny, he is like a posh Jay in this. James Corden is actually a twat though.

Tim Phillipson

Jack Whitehall hate is all to do with class. A lot of people see him as a stuck up posh twat which he is but I happen to really like him. He's funny because he is posh thinking he is gods gift to humankind.

ZedMC

I agree Jack Whitehall's character is annoying in this but I like him and find his stand up funny. I can only imagine because he's posh/privileged, a lot of people seem to be prejudiced against him.

Daz

Neil from the inbetweeners fingered a girl :)

irreverend

I love Jack Whitehall, but I do get why some people might dislike him. I voted for Misfits, but this is a good series

irreverend

See that's the thing, I genuinely hate his father, but Jack's ok. I don't know if his father was born into money, but I've found people who have become successful tend to be the worst snobs about people who haven't managed to.

irreverend

Oh I completely missed what series this is. I thought this was the one he plays a secondary school teacher. Given all the comments about him, he's not even the main character in this

irreverend

Well he's playing that character in this very much, but I don't think he actually is like that. It is part of his comedy persona of course, but in this yes, and completely unable to relate to the common people but trying to emulate what he thinks they're like. Just reminded myself of that song by Pulp

irreverend

"It's a trap, this doesn't happen." Ah so true, although two university students, not so uncommon. When I was 19 I went home with a 36 year old woman I met in the pub and next day 3 of her 5 children asked me if I was going to be their new dad. That shit doesn't happen, and the truth behind it is actually rather sad. She was a lovely woman, her ex was not it turns out.

Cam Smith

This shows great

Adam

If a 36 yo bloke did that everyone would call him a perv

irreverend

Pretty much. The truth is of course on average men are more predatory. It is a bit of a double standard, but I can see the reasoning behind it. I wouldn't be happy with a 36 year old going after my 18 year old daughter, particularly because I'm only 39.

Craig McCulloch

its nothing to do with class - Jimmy Carr presents as 'stuck up and better than' but is ridiculously funny... Jack is reaching for ridiculous

MarkC

I agree, it's worth watching up to a point, then it goes off the rails.. can't remember what season but I stopped watching, anyway, think there was a decent run of good stuff beforehand. (ohhh I'm getting mixed up here, I was confusing this with Bad Education.. so I can't comment, been ages since I've seen Fresh Meat but think I enjoyed it)

Georgia

People dislike JW’s stand up, but as a comedic actor he’s brilliant! JP softens and becomes so loveable, he really makes the show. Tune out dA h8rrZ x0x0

C J

My god Boomer, you can’t half talk to yourself. 8 minutes of you chatting to yourself before it gets started🤣🤣🤣🤣

MarkC

Enjoyed it, thanks for the reaction. I like the Scotts guy the best! Been ages since I watched it. Forgot that the teacher guy was the one out of Lead Balloon (another good series) .

Matt Williamson

You gotta do Brass Eye man, it's fucking outrageous and there's only seven episodes.

Matt Camburn

finally back on here after a somewhat broke month, only to see one of my fave shows here! What a pleasant surprise. There's lots of funny people in this show, and it'll really grow on you!

Jason Bonner

Have you considered getting a push bike 😄 you could probably get there in under 10 minutes.

Dannythedoodle

I've got one bro 😊 I could be there in 5. I'm fucking wasted at the moment but I'll do it on video when I'm sober(er) on a sunny day.

Zoe brat

Can’t believe this won over misfits lol

Dannythedoodle

Yeah, it gets a bit like a soap. But it's still worth watching, in the absence of some quality like People Just Do Nothing.

Ben

I like Jack Whitehall, especially in this, i didn't realise people hated him.

Rand C

Looking forward to this serise KB! You think JP is like Jay but "with confidence"? I couldn't disagree more. He may be better at masking it to those around him, but one of the reasons an otherwise unlikeable character is endearing is because you can easily see the confidence is just a facade. You can tell that just below the surface, he wonders if anyone would really like him without his money. It's a real shame that people have coloured your perception of Jack Whitehall before you even started the show, and by extension, his character. Personally, I think he's quite funny. And while many on here are saying "PEOPLE don't like him..." clearly, many more do. He's hugely successful, starring in numerous TV shows, multiple Netflix specials, Hollywood movies, sold-out arena stand-up tours etc. He's a regular on Graham Norton and he's the only person, to my knowledge, that Graham Norton hand-picked and allowed to guest host for him on his show. I consider Graham a pretty good judge of comedy.

Bobby Beaumont

Don’t know why people don’t like Whitehall , I’ve always loved his stuff

Sam Holbrook

Although it’s nowhere near peep show level this show was made by the creators of peep show

Beccy

I do like Fresh Meat, I wouldn't have rated it high as a comedy though.

Beccy

Completely agree!! I like it but I wouldn't say it was particularly funny, I think he will get bored

Matt Camburn

ahh mate, then i look further down and see black books too!! Oh what a day... Love it!

Jason Scade

Agree fully. *Essential* UK satire. But I think he should do 'The Day Today' first, as Brasseye is the follow-up / sequel show.

Jason Scade

Lead Balloon is superb! A+ tier cringe comedy. It's Jack Dee's Curb Your Enthusiasm. ♥

The Everything Guy

watched this for the first time yesterday, binged the whole set after and really liked it. i cant get on with pheonix nights, im probably too southern (west mids) but this is one i could watch a few times.

Liam Vale

I'm so happy. Fresh Meat has always been the true spiritual successor to The Inbetweeners but no other reactor has touched it. Very much looking forward to rewatching this series

Matt Camburn

im not into jack's stand up or anything. But I like him in this show. He grew on me. Its one of those situations where im like "yeah he's a total prick...but he's my total prick.."

Joe

Jack is just annoyingly posh, but his acting and comedy is fairly funny id say the general consensus is

MarkC

Yeah, watched it several times, the shopping channel part was hilarious 😆

Oliver

Funny you should say that. I was thinking the other day, would the Inbetweeners even get commissioned if it was made today? I don't think it would, it'd be labelled "politically incorrect" or "problematic". Shows how far the thought policing and cancel culture shit has metastasized over here just in the last 15 years. Was that why comedy died around 8-10 years ago?

Sophie

Fresh meat is average should watch bad education instead or brassic plus misfits is terrible good job you didnt watch that it would really bore you

FRER Productions

It's a shame this won the pole but oh well I guess

Sam Dilks

Howard and Vod are by far the funniest in this show. Josie doesn’t deserve anything good and JP (Jack Whitehall) is a typical posh Tory twat who maybe has some redeemable moments and I guess his journey is a main arc of the show

Toby Cutler

I've come back for this show! Lfg

Liam Vale

Hahaha if you say so. It’s better than every other show he is currently reacting to on this channel

Toby Cutler

Not sure why jack is hated, he plays hated characters but the actor is fine 😅

Steven Iceton

I'm northern but would agree with you, I don't think it's a north/south thing, I just find the characters irritating, like watching Benidorm. Fresh meat first episode was good.

JVTrickypants

Harriet Beecher Stowe Henry David Thoreaux You continuing the rhyme: I know Harriet Beecher Stowe The other one, no

Jammy Dodger

Bad education is another great jack Whitehall series

James West

i get the impression from the first episode that this series was maybe an attempt by the dude actors to get laid more IRL, try to create an image for themselves as 'that kinda guy'. but i'll try to hold my judgment

SnakeYikes

I promise you that you are wrong, the show was not created or written by any of the male actor. The writers also wrote Peep show, Thick of it and Succession.

Mark Jones

I only ever watched the first episode and decided not to watch it when it was first on, but I'm in for giving it go, opening my horizons and all that, you never know unless you actually watch it right? I went to Uni in the UK in the 90's, actually lived with 5 American guys in my first year so have had an addiction to pb&j ever since (true!), but my first night I escorted a rather nice girl home who proceeded to insist we did it with the lights off... so it wasn't until the next morning that I realised I'd ran red lights the previous evening after discovering dried menstrual flow on my face, so that was nice and doesn't still make me feel physically sick ever time I think about it.... 🤮

EnglishBlacksmith

to be fair to whitehall he is fantastic in this role, I'm not a fan of him in anything else.

EnglishBlacksmith

absolutley no idea where you got that idea from. Its not written by them and if they were trying to depict themself as something why would they choose these guys hahaha

Sean

I actually like jack

EnglishBlacksmith

Absolutely agree, he is brilliant in this and ok in bad education I'm not a fan of his standup but he is great in this, my favourite character.

Stefan

JP (Jack) is class! Genuinely didn't even realise people didn't like him. I think he's great haha

Miss_dash

I'm looking forward to watching reactions to this one. It's new to me too. I didn't watch it when it was released as I was mourning the end of inbetweeners and didn't think anything would compare. Seems good so far!

Mark Jephson

JP is posh, he is a bit marmite. I think he's ok

Dave Jones

never heard anywhere that anyone hated jack whitehall, his stand up is fucking hilarious and anytime he does interviews or other shows hes top notch. Hate the character respect the actor

Jack is similar in real life. Not exactly but similar. So im sure you can work out why hes a love him or hate him type of guy. Youll love the series he done with his dad. His dad is blunt and to the point.

Its really not it actually ruined half the actors careers it was that bad

Matthew

I dont understand how you can dislike Jacks character but not the girl Vod. Jack was just trying too hard and was awkward. Vod actually was being a bully and cheating

Matthew

You definitely let the comments warp your opinion of JP because even his entitlement is fair enough considering they made a deal and he’s paying for their tv movies and for the room
