never understood the young justice hype train.... I do remember liking the first season but just falls off mega hard into season 2..... like theres nothing from the show that is memorable to me... it just feels like another generic dc show a la brave and the bold or the batman

The first season was very mid, i can understand why its not at the top. would be cool though. I hear it gets better waiting to watch season 2 when I get some more free time.

I don't know how much they liked YJ post season 1. I remember a criticism they have of the show was all the DC easter eggs it brought in and not knowing certain things about DC lore and that hurt their enjoyment of the show. I think a fair criticism of YJ is that it tries to do too much in trying to fit the entire DC universe into this show itself, at the expense of characters or character development. I remember people really liked Superboy/Miss Martain and Artemis arcs, which felt like it did an excellent job world building and showcasing those characters. The other character arcs, like Rocket, Nightwing, and Aqualad, were criticized as not really being about them and instead focusing way too much time at world building over character development or focus. I could see the crew not being that into the fourth season. I kind of want them to explore more of the DC Animated Universe more, since it introduces DC elements, they are unfamiliar with, like the New Gods more gradually for them.

The first season might genuinely be my favorite first season of any show (and I might prefer season 2)
