Do you think Romar Abdell and/or the Serenno data-core will return this season?

Culper (Lukas)

I don’t think so, but it would be cool if we did. I think the character and data core was another way to give a different perspective on how things were on the ground level instead of the perspective of our main characters in the movies. It’s cool to see someone preserving their culture because that’s one of the many things that the Empire is trying to eradicate; in the name of order.

Meesa say why’s not?

Just because they spent so much time with him I think he might have at least a minor role later on, like for example in Clone Wars we had that one episode with the Rogue clone, and that one then was the plot point of a bad batch episode in season 1

Fun fact : The actor voicing Romar in episode 2 is also the voice of Wan Shi Tong (the big owl in the library) from Avatar : The Last Airbender

I'm going to guess no. I'm thinking that it was more likely there just to reinforce the idea that the Batch shouldn't simply classify stuff as "Republic" and "Separatist", and instead remember that there was way more history before all of that. Furthermore, I'm thinking that that is probably going to be the overarching plot of the season, with the group joining with others who want to help restore things to the pre-Clone Wars status quo, a proto-Rebellion, so to speak.

I think he (and Echo) just got more Character Development/Time with Omega because they didn't get that much in Season 1, and they are kinda similar.

It’s possible, not every small detail goes down without a purpose. (Admiral Yularen voice)

I think he will, if only because Dave decided to give a final lingering shot on him.

I say yes. Felt very much like a Chekov's gun. (did i speel that right?) They said, "this is the data of the Serrano people Dooku took from us," and just left it there. That doesn't seem like a thing to just leave hanging to me. Especially since Romar said there were other survivors. At the very least, I agree with what's being said that the topic of history before the war will be brought up again.

Of course it will they will they will need it to black mail the emperor when they discover that the data-core has both his and Dooku’s nudes

I think it could conceivably come back, but personally I doubt that it will. I think that, like a lot of Clone Wars episodes, this episode exists to teach a lesson to our characters (Omega in this case). Just as Romar understands and teaches that the culture and memory of Serenno is more important than the riches in the war chest, Omega learns that her life and her relationships with the rest of the Bad Batch is more important than the mission.

This is Filoni we're talking about here. Everything has some sort of purpose and comes back in some way when he's involved
