I honestly think she shouldn't get powers, at least not for a few seasons. It would mess up the dynamic he has with the other characters.

John M

I like where they seem to be going with his character connecting more with Lois than Clark. For the time being, I’d prefer he doesn’t get powers.

If Jonathan had one half of Superman’s powers like speed and healing and Jordan had half like strength and super hearing they could make a great team

Anonymous

In like season 3 or 4, for sure. Not now, now it's great as it is. I love this show so much, guys)

SpeedyCat19

Maybe in like a Season 3 or 4, but I'm fine with him without powers for right now. I really like the connection he and Lois have right now, not having powers surrounded by loved ones with powers.

Joel

He never gets powers and show ends with him saying "I'm Batman!"

Christian Bolda

I don’t think I want him to get powers especially after an episode like we just had where Lois and John have an extremely emotional moment with each other about how they are the most extraordinary humans in a family with two people with superpowers

Tannis

I love the parallel that Johnathan is like Lois while Jordan is like Clark. It would be awesome if Johnathan could become a budding journalist like his mom, supporting his brother. IDK I just love Johnathan he's so precious.

Hunter R.

I love the thing with him and lois but I still want him to have powers. But if he doesn't I won't be to mad.

I really don't want him to get powers. I feel he can be a better anchor for Jordan if he stays unpowered. And I just want him to be like the Johnathan he is named after.

Anonymous

I think I would like him to eventually but, after the latest episode, I don’t think I’d want it to happen any time soon. Lois and Jonathan together this episode were perfect (big props to actors Bitsie & Jordan) and I do think, especially now that we’ve had those powerful scenes, it might be best to have any powers for Jon stay a little further on down the line.

I think at one point this season Jon gonna try the machine of Morgan Edge but won't turn in evil kryptonian, but just kickstart his inner power (with like superspeed and flight, since Jordan have strength and laser)

Sam K

I don't want him to, I like him and Lois having the connection that they do

Chris

Until this episode i wanted it to happen but after seeing the scenes with him and Lois this week i'm fully on board with him being more like his mom

Alice

I want him to get powers but get the ones Jordan doesn’t have. Ice breath, flying, X-ray vision so that together they create one whole Superboy.

Ethan Prendergast

I think having Jonathan develop powers would be generic and go down the normal superhero route where everyone gets powers. Keeping him human could create more interesting stories on who he wants to be. Plus his support towards Jordan is powerful enough.

Anonymous

I don’t want him to get powers because I feel like they are doing a terrific job writing his character without him having powers

Reiddd

For the love of god give this boy some powers. Something has to go right for this poor kid

Anonymous

I don't want him to get powers just yet, i would like to get them in the near future. Back in Metropolis Jonathan was the powered one and Jordan was the helpless, now the roles are kind of reversed and i love that both brothers continue to support each other, maybe if Jonathan get powers in the future, Jordan can couch him so he can learn how to use them. Ijust want both brothers need each other.

Dip602

He doesn't need powers he can be a hero without them all he needs to do is find Batman and get trained by him

Anonymous

I think it’s a season 2 thing like it might be in the finale that he randomly lifts something or jumps into the way of car

Anonymous

If anyone deserves powers it’s Jonathan, but later on. In the meantime, I just wish he can get a break! I want to see something Good happen to him!

MarkIsDaBoss

What a poll. I'm kinda split, but I think I'm veering towards him getting powers, just because I think we could get some more action, and we'd possibly get another protector of this world, especially in this upcoming war. Although on the other hand, I think I enjoy having Superman and Superboy on one side fighting, while Jon and Lois are solving the mystery themselves. This choice was very difficult, since I'd love either side.

CommanderL

I want him to develop powers. like in the comics

AAA DATTERY

I was on the Johnathan having powers train but now I feel different. I like that each parent has a kid that they're mentoring and relating too

Anonymous

I'd be fine with him not developing power. However, being based off comics, it wouldn't surprise me if they went that route eventually.

Gavin Hardiman

No I don’t want him to have powers. I think if he did it would unbalance the family dynamic and the threat others can pose on the family.

I think at the end of this season. Johnathan will get infused with Ex Kryptonite, and the start of second season he will lose control, eventually coming back to his senses and retaining some if not all of that power. That way we have this dynamic of Jordan being a half Kryptonite, and Johnathan potentially having full kryptonite powers due to having ex kryptonite in him. Imagine a scenario where Johnathan goes berserk he starts to flying using laser beams, and that's how Jordan learns to fly by having to calm his brother down.

Bunny Norris

A hard one. It’d be awesome if Jonathan developed powers so he could feel a more useful member of the family. Not that he’s not useful now. On the other hand I think it’s important to show that the powers don’t make the man. I love that Lois knows of powerlessness yet still isn’t powerless and that’s a great lesson to bestow on, and bond with, Jonathan.

I really want to see Jordan and Jon be a team with Jon being the brains of the operation, and have him hold his own without powers first, and have him help Jordan develop his powers. Once that happens, it would be nice to have him get super powers and haveJordan become the more supportive one in their relationship helping him figure out the power thing

Ohais

I actually really like how it's currently set up. The boys match their name sakes. Jonathan named after the human father and having no powers, and Jordan being named after the Kryptonian father and having the Kryptonian powers. I love how they're handling it. It's not just some exaggerated, overdramatic jealousy from him that other shows might employ over not having powers. Any feelings he does have about it are very grounded and mature, and just make sense. And I love how they're developing him, especially with the talk he had with Lois at the end of the episode. I'd be completely okay if he didn't develop powers. I like the route they're taking with him learning from Lois how to be useful and strong as a non-powered person in a super powered family

Prince of Za Waurdo Over Salmon

I think it is great the way it is everything is split evenly with the family so pairs can work well to get her Jordan and Clark on big action fights and training, Lois & Johnathan solving mysteries together and also is Clark and Lois or Johnathan and Jordan get paired up in a situation they will have one with powers and one without if Johnathan gets powers it would imbalance things

Anonymous

I think it will be cool to have two super power teenagers boys. Because normally I only have watch one super boy and not two I would like to enjoy seeing two super boys. I think he just a late bloomer and he will get his powers at the end of the season.

Anonymous

I would like for him to have powers but I also think that they have enough access to tech in this universe where they could have a special suit for him or something. I like the connection he made with Lois this episode.

Andrew Courtney

I kind of like Johnathon having a mirrored role to what Lois character has always been in most iterations. Sometimes be who will push to help or find the truth, even when it puts her in danger needing Superman to save her. Could be offset with Jordan saving him instead at times. Man I love this show. Kind of feels like the Arrowverse getting a fresh start with a lot of shows in final seasons. I would love to see them do this with all the shows moving forward. Bigger budget for less episodes and contained story plots with out filler dragging things out.

Julia 🍌

I do want him to have powers but sometime in the far future. I love how they're developing his character and the dynamic between all 4 of them so I would like to stay in this place a bit longer and to see where it goes but I do think it would be interesting if he gets powers later on and to see if he handles it differently from Jordan and if so how it affects all of them.

Anonymous

I say yes but at the same time it kinda equals out the show character wise. Clark has jordan and Lois has Jonathan but would be cool to see the Jonathan kent superman rise from this show. Dang conflicted.

Jeanette C

I'm happy with him not having powers. It makes for a nice contrast between the brothers and interesting character development

Matt Ragusa

I'd prefer that he have powers, given that he does in the comics.

Anonymous

Perhaps Jonathan’s powers could be something that they bring in in later seasons, but for now I like the contrast that the brothers have.

Anonymous

More powers= higher possibility of cool fights, therefore yes.

Anonymous

To me Jon's true power is his heart. He doesn't need anything more than that.

Anonymous

Thinking it over I think Eric's right, too many people get power's so i don't want him to have any powers, but will be really excited if he did and fought side by side with his brother as heroes in the future

ScarlettMi

Based on this episode in particular, I don't want Jonathan to develop powers. There's something really wonderful about having that thing to bind him and Lois. I genuinely enjoy that dynamic.
