remember、 caster was knight fighting alongside Jeanne d'Arc。 he never realy learned magic. It is only for his noble phantasm that he earned from his mage friend that make him caster.

Ryunosuke and Caster are polar opposites. To simplify things, Caster would kill children to insult god, as if to say "Try saving them if you are really god!". On the other hand, Ryunosuke kills children and would actually thank god for granting him such lovely victims to kill. But this difference is what makes them a great match. The author mentions that if they were even a little bit more similar, Caster would've killed Ryunosuke.

Yeah, Casters entire motive is to test God and push the boundary as much as possible in order for them to prove their existence, because of what happened to Jeanne. It's the whole idea of "if God does exist why would he allow for the holy maiden to perish like that?"

I've seen Fate/Zero so many times, and I still get feels and misty eyes during the serious moments between Iskandar and Waver. Some of my favorite characters in the Nasuverse for sure.
