Which version of Yo-yo's powers do you like better?

Comments

Anonymous

I’ve always thought it was weird that she had to bounce back. I like her new powers

Joel

I think yo is a more efficient power, but yo-yo is more unique and comes clutch in certain situations.

SpeedyCat19

I liked the limitations her original powers had. It made her a more unique speedster than someone like the Flash or Quicksilver

Gavin Hardiman

It was a cool limitation returning. But since Daisy had her powers get stronger I feel that it would be odd for yo-yo not to.

Dip602

I like having that restriction it made her different then other speedsters

Anonymous

I like the no return, because she still has the the option to return.

Doby Greg

Yoyo. She was already OP at times. Limiting her allowed others to shine without struggles feeling artificial like benching firestorm.

Ethan Prendergast

I like how the episode has now developed her powers. But personally I prefer the limitations as it created some interesting situations in the show. The fact she's now a generic speedster kinda takes that away. But I'm intrigued in where they take this

Bethany

We should just call her Frisbee now

Bunney

I prefer her to bounce back because it makes it unique, but since it's the last season It doesnt bother me to much, I'm just glad she's back in action!

Anonymous

Bouncing back to her initial position made for some interesting applications that you don't see with the generic "speedster". Additionally, without the bounce back condition, she becomes significantly more over powered, leading to similar problems to what you might find in the flash. Where, in this case, you don't necessarily have villains that match the power level.

Jhazzrun

it was weird, but it put a limit on how much she could do. theyre only changing it to this because the show is ending. she wouldve been too strong if this had always been her power.

Jhazzrun

which is why they did it. the show is ending. had the show continued they would not have changed her powers for that very reason. its too strong.

Paul Gregory

I'm really not going to get hung up on someone no longer having a restriction on their powers when it's the last season of the show and we're never going to see them again.

Anonymous

Well she's a speedster now a shame its for the last season

Tucker Lobner

I prefer the original where she had to return, I think giving a little restriction keeps from a character becoming OP. However, it's halfway through the final season so I am not too upset about it

Billyb

I liked when her powers had limits It was something unique and not just a generic speedster

Andrew Courtney

I felt it kept it more grounded when she had to return otherwise you get into OP Flash territory where he should be able to do everything and never lose.

Aleph Sharp

I'm not sure, but because its close to the end of the series, it feels like theres not too much to worry about it, and I'm ok with it.

Anonymous

I prefer the original version of her powers to be used in the show, however, I'm fine with this evolution in the way it underscores her character growth. And since the show is ending, she will have had her original powers for 90% of her time, so I really don't think we're losing out.

db

It is what it is. It's not a substantial enough of a change to have an issue with it. It's barely even an upgrade.

outdoorcats

I'm glad she had the limitation on her powers for most of the show, it stopped the writers from having to write themselves in circles coming up with some reason she can't solve everything easily. I'm glad they waited for the final season for her to become OP, not to mention it's balanced out by having a potentially OP villain in Nathaniel.

Anonymous

Yo-Yo has had this limitation on her powers since season 3, and while it's a departure from her comic counterpart, I'm perfectly okay with her as a main character getting a power-up for the final half of the final season

Michael Jefferson

The Yo-Yo is more interesting but I'm not mad at the development. When the limits of most speedsters' powers is whatever the writing needs it to be, having a set distance where the limit is based on her heartbeat and specifically her mental state, its refreshing. She didn't form the limitation herself, it was just created that way as an expression of her inner psyche. While convenient now, I don't think it breaks the character or makes her overpowered

Anonymous

Isn’t she’s still limited within a heartbeat, right? Just means she doesn’t have to return to her original spot as she returned. Feel like the way they showed off Kora’s powers was supposed to reference Korra from Avatar.

SeaHall93

I'll only be happy when she's Yo-Yo-Yo, although I will also accept Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo

Anonymous

Exactly not sure why people think she’s like a speedster now,

Ashtrid

I voted I liked when she had to return to the same spot because I liked the uniqueness of it. But to get powered up for the final season and with only 5 episodes left, im all for it!!

Anonymous

I prefer the old version because it capped her powers and made some limitations therefore making fight scenes more interesting. I just hope they keep her powers limited to her heartbeat

Anonymous

So I'm voting for "Yo" because I like the way they told the story. I think I prefer the old version in terms of power base, but I think the new version makes complete sense. Plus, the psychological stuff really strikes a chord with me for reasons I don't want to get into. But yeah, I thought it was great. Also, May + Yoyo is a great pairing.

Dylan Carpenter

The original version was always a fun unique twist to speed based powers, but I feel like the new version opens up more possibilities for her character. Plus, being the last season I trust they have a story they want to tell that requires her power to work this way.

Anonymous

I'm cool with just Yo. She still has the limitation of her heartbeat, its not like she's Quicksilver.

Anonymous

I trust shield to have awesome use for it since it's the last season so I like it. Also, I know everyone is hoping to see Ward again and so am I, but I would also love to see pre-graviton/head injury Talbot.

Ashgar77

In the context of this season being the last and them wrapping up character stories. I think it's a reasonable progression for YoYo.

Garrett Gee

I mean its the last seaason FUCK IT, make em all OP!!!!

Jonathan Bodford

Well if in a certain situation where yoyo wants to bounce back she can or she can just choose to not bounce back

Anonymous

Like everybody else is saying, it's the last season, why the f not? But it's the bloody SHIELD, the writers did it for a reason. She's gonna need her full power probably for the final battle or for some epic moment of sacrifice or something like that. Trust the show guys!!!

Anonymous

I have a feeling they'll come around. Eric's already forgotten about the Daisy stuff he didn't like early on, and frankly so have I. It ended up making sense in retrospect, I think. Especially with how they reminded us how badly Hydra treated people like her Mother (and showing us what an evil bitch Nathaniel is). Similarly, I believe the Yo-yo stuff will make sense to them by the finale.

Anonymous

Also, I would bet the heartbeat thing still applies. I'm sure they'll tell us one way or the other. I trust the Shield team.

Anonymous

If they treat her power like wally west when he was in legends then everything will probably be great. I trust this show to get it right.

Narutoanime16

I don’t mind Yo-yo having a limit but her running without having to return is soo much better. And it being the last season I don’t mind them changing her powers my question is how is Daisy gonna get here back or is she just gonna be normal

William Tanner

Her returning to the starting position was a cool twist on super speed. Now it’s basically the same as any other speedster. I did like the theme of her not having to bounce back from a story perspective but it definitely took a coolness factor from her.

Anonymous

I always thought it was unique spin on super speed but with the whole team taking a beat down its nice to see one get a upgrade

Dylan Allardice

It is a show created by all great writers. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the Marvel galaxy together. Trust the show Eric, trust the show.

Anonymous

I love the limit that was placed on the power. I thought it was really cool and pretty unique. That being said, I like the progression for both the power and Yo-Yo herself that we got in this episode, even though I wish it was revealed in a slightly better way.

Girl Run Fast Good! That is all!
