After watching the first episode how do you feel about the show?

Mac Muscara

I really enjoyed the pilot. Looking forward to seeing more for sure

SpeedyCat19

Some things could be better, but in general I'm really liking it so far. Especially the production quality! It feels almost cinematic lol

I always reserve judgment about any show for a full season

Anonymous

I know I’m making a rash judgment based on no evidence but I think it’s alright

Anonymous

I just finished a Community marathon and with all of their shenanigans fresh in my mind and seeing Joel McHale, the start legit felt like another crazy episode. As for Star Girl, it belongs to CW now, right? Not a fan of what they did and do to the Arrowverse, so I'll stick to your reactions. Also, sad you don't give Gotham the chance it deserves.

Anonymous

Just what we need...more CW shows/melodramas. Great! :-(

Maxxman

To be fair gotham has some of its own serious issues as well

Maxxman

I was not really into a lot of it. The production value was good, but we can't rely on that heavily moving forward. I will reserve judgement for the season but right now it did not wow me enough to click with me immediately

Rubi Moon

I liked it, but I'm wondering how the lower budget on the CW will affect the show. Hopefully they're able to keep a good budget for this show, but I fear we might see a reduce in quality the further we get into this show since it's not going to just be on the DC Universe

Anonymous

Really liking it so far. I'm excited for what's to come based off of what Geoff Johns has said about a few things to come

Anonymous

I was unsure if I wanted to jump into this show and didn’t have much expectation but I was pleasantly surprised. It is only the first ep however and unsure how the rest of the season will go but looking forward to watching and finding out.

I am not a fan of the disney channel movies feel it has. But I wanna give it another 2-3 episode before deciding if I'll continue or not.

Anonymous

I watched it with no expectations and enjoyed it more than I thought. I can see it going up or down so I guess I'll have to wait a few episodes to really judge it

I dont like CW shows that much, theyre not very well written, and feel more like boring soap operas with superpowers. Unfortunately, Stargirl seems like a good fit for the network.

Anonymous

I can't say it's not well made. Good production all around, good cast, decent script. That being said, I can't see myself being that much interested in the teen drama side of it, and it feels like that could be the majority of the show. What I'm waiting on is to see if it's made like a DC show or a CW show. I could probably watch 12 or so episodes of this, with a story driven delivery. But I definitely couldn't do 20+ episodes of the CW's formulaic shite.

Erich Bomke

The episode as a whole looked really good, and I love Luke Wilson in just about everything he does. Unfortunately the age of the lead is what turns me off most from the show. We have already been served a decent dose of cliche overdone high school drama writing and that's just one episode in!

Anonymous

It looks good so far but I'll decide whether or not "I like it" for a couple of episodes

Kanan Jarrus

It’s not CW. It just airs on there the day after it premieres on DC Universe.

Gavin Mcfadden

Well it’s just a dc universe show that will air on cw. CW has no effect on it lol

Able

Yeah, great production quality - weak writing and acting.

Ricardo Obregon

To think that long ago some of us watched the smallville JSA event and to now see how far we have come with DC comic shows - 🤯 Come on the intro and action in this show is just 😢 amazing. Wow just wow - now we need another crisis do over with the other shows so they could look just as good as this

Anonymous

Im liking the superhero bits, but I'm a bit meh on the high school drama stuff.

Kanan Jarrus

If you guys didn’t know, the character of Stargirl was created by Geoff Johns (the writer of this show) back in the late 90s as a tribute to his sister Courtney who died in the TWA Flight 800 crash. Johns is an amazing writer that has done so much in terms of evolving the universe of DC. He’s known for breathing new life into the Teen Titans and JSA, reinstating Barry Allen as the main Flash, and reviving Hal Jordan as a character while introducing the idea of multiple Lantern Corps of different colors, and so much more. He’s even written a few Smallville episodes. But this show is definitely one of his most personal projects, a show about family. He will do his best to make it extraordinary, because anything less to him might feel like dishonoring his sister’s memory. I love this first episode and can’t wait to see what’s to come.

Blackest Hippy

Any JSA fan should love this

Is it sad I liked the first episode of this more then the entire season of batwoman???

Kevin Bartelen

This probably had the best action for a first episode of one of the superhero shows which is a very promising start. I'm also intrigued about where they're going with this in terms of her father, and will she start up a whole new JSA? Starman's words sounded like that's what he wants from his successor.

I like all the shows batwomen, Supergirl, Flash, DC legend of Tomorrow, Black lightening and Stargirl. I was never a real comic book fan I just love superheroes.

Dylan Allardice

I had no intentions on watching the show but when I saw your reaction appear on YouTube I watched along with your reaction and was pleasantly surprised as it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Tucker Lobner

I really enjoyed the pilot, so I'm excited for what the show has to offer

tsujoi

I liked the pilot episode, but it felt like this was supposed to be aired with episode 2. Maybe plans changed with everything going on in the real world. Looking forward to more episodes though!

Anonymous

I really enjoyed it the beginning made the episode more impactful and can’t wait to see more

I’m not usually a fan of watching teens, but hearing ‘Grundy’ and seeing Jay Garrick with Doctor Fate was enough to tip it into a like. I hope it spends more time on the heroes and less time on teen drama.

Nether22 (Frank)

Going into it I said I would have preferred a JSA show, but I really liked seeing her with the other loners and hope she and we have already met all the new JSA.

Boomchicawawa Bay

Show had a solid opener, the CW has this format now that just works; where its kind of like Netflix and the marvel shows. They can pretty much have any story and understand how their audience is going to respond to the product. Plus with alot of my old shows ending "thanks 2020," its a nice show to jump on with my daughter.

Anonymous

I like it with just one episode it shoots to third place behind Flash and titans for me

Joel

I liked it, for a pilot episode.

Anonymous

I'll reserve judgement for now. The production quality is great, and it was a solid pilot. But I'm clearly not the target audience, and that will probably affect my enjoyment of the show. I'll stick around in the desperate hope for a Starman flashback, because I want to see Joel McHale get to act for more than 30 seconds. He never gets his due.

Reece Hart

I liked what I saw but I also know of the 5 episodes we know of Geoff Johns only wrote episodes 1 and 2 so I am holding my judgement until I can see what the other writers can do.

ChiefChill

I love it. It’s like a movie

Anonymous

I really, really enjoyed the Pilot. While it's not the weird-but-ever-loving like the Doom Patrol or edgy like the Titans, you could tell this was a passion project for show creator, Geoff Johns. In case you didn't know, Courtney herself was created by Johns, back when he wrote the Justice Society of America comics, as a tribute to his younger sister to died in an airplane crash in '96.

Anonymous

I usually don't like teenage coming of age shows, but the visual effects seems pretty solid, I'll give it a try. Also excited for futur crossover episodes (specially Supergirl). :)

Anonymous

Loved this pilot ! I was a fan of Stargirl and pat in the old justice league unlimited cartoon so I’m excited to see further development on both of them

John FD Lobrano

The effects are impressive, but there's nothing about the plot that grabs me quite yet.
