I've been a huge fan of this movie since I saw it in the theater when it came out in the 90's, but I got to see this last year on a big screen setup at in a "Ghost Town" attraction outside of Austin, TX, and it was a whole other experience. The artificial ghost town is a little wild west setup and they had everything going on there. Axe throwing, target shooting (with airguns, but still fun), saloons, live country music. Actors wandering around, complete with Earp and Holiday impersonators. And I got to meet Val Kilmer himself. Dude may have a rep for being difficult to work with, but he was extremely nice and very funny, even with all his recent medical issues making it difficult for him to talk. They also gave us cap guns to use during the screening and basically anytime gun play was happening you had hundreds of cap gun accompanying it in the crowd. Was one of the coolest experiences of my life.

I've always enjoyed reading books and watching shows or films about Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday and Tombstone. This film does take a few shortcuts with historical events but it's still a favorite of mine. Though a pet peeve of mine about this film and some other films about Tombstone is that they always show Virgil and Morgan getting shot on the same night, this is a mistake, Virgil was shot first in December 1881, Morgan is shot and killed in March 1882, Wyatt was in the room and was almost hit as well as he sat in a chair across from Morgan as he played pool. Also, their other brother Warren Earp was also part of the Vendetta ride

While it might seem odd, I feel like Tombstone is the perfect D&D movie. The way that the party forms, and events transpire with classic quotable lines feels like what playing a good campaign of D&D is like.

Powers Boothe was always one for my favorite actors. I miss that guy. The Emerald Forest was a great movie of his.

You guys should react to “Lone Survivor” for Memorial Day! It’s an incredible story that not only more people should know, but would also get a good reaction!

Kanan Jarrus

Now we have to get to watch the Dollars Trilogy

Liesmith

I like the part where they reveal it was time travel all along.

That last line about “Tom Mix wept.” reminded me of this great movie called Sunset with James Garner as an old Wyatt Earp living in Los Angeles working as an adviser on westerns with a pre-Die Hard Bruce Willis as Tom Mix!

You guys should check out the Coen brothers' True Grit. It's fuck'n great. Also, No Country for Old Men.

You guys should try Wynonna Earp on SyFy some of the same characters but in a wild SyFy twist. It Might be Fun.
