It's probably like My hero academia where you licences to use your powers for work and it's hard to find. Or because she isn't well known they rather pay more money to a superior hero. I don't get the supervillain appeal. Being rich and powerful and legit seems way less problematic than being a supercriminal. People are always plotting to take you down, judging you and you can't ever truly relax.

The points are different in the two scenarios. Points in the polls are percentage of people (adjusted like a Gallup poll) who like/agree with someone/something. Points with regards to money is a percentage of profits/royalties. So everyone's reaction to that statement proved that indeed, he'd had a better lawyer get him better amounts of money from his own stuff.
