Tbh, I forgot it was this episode, I thought it was the next one. But I’m not disappointed!

Me too. Great ep though. And now can look forward for next week :)

This episode is a callback to something the Doctor told Amy back in The Eleventh Hour: "Amy Pond, there's something you'd better understand about me, because it's important, and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box."

Rory did have fears but he had no faith so it didn't need him.

Another callback to that (smaller one) was in Flesh and Stone. - Dr. Song, I've lost good clerics today, do you trust this man? - I absolutely trust him! - He's not some kind of madman, then? - (brief pause) I absolutely trust him! And another one in The Doctor's Wife: - I'm a madman with a box, without a box!

Not an episode I love, but it does add to my love of Rory. Best character arc of all his companions, imo.

The Doctor

So... what was with the fish?

It's an ok episode but it tells interesting thing. I don't think Rory doesn't have fear but rather he doesn't have a strong faithin something. He has no illusion on the doctor and just tag along with his with wife. I also like that it frames the vision Amy has on the doctor as some blind faith that is born from the story of her childhood. Really a lot of interesting ideas.

I hope you will be reacting to the mini episodes between these two episodes ("Night and the Doctor" ) :)

Ragnarok

Who else, after the Name/Day specials, thinks we know exactly what/who was in the Doctor’s room?

In "The Hungry Earth" when the kid, Elliot, got hurt, the mom called for a doctor and The Doctor came running. During that scene she said "You are a proper doctor, right? You haven't just got a degree in cheese making or something?" to which The Doctor replied "Yes.... well... both, actually."
