After this landmark episode of The Walking Dead, announcements of expanding into movies, and a huge time jump, how do you feel about the future of The Walking Dead Franchise?

Uga Engelhart

I am optimistic, the new showrunner is good and I feel like this could translate well to a movie, depending on how they do it.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Loved WD so far. Expect for it to get even better.

TWD is the best it’s ever been. Next 3 episodes are gonna be crazy.

Ashgar77

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Anonymous

I expect nothing, but I will be happy if it turns out good.

TbcAlex

This season has been great, I'm excited.

Season 9 is really impressing me so far. I'm excited for what's to come. I think the show has its mojo back. Also, last episode, apparently the reason Shane, Herschel and Sasha appeared to Rick is because Shane represents Rick's anger, drive and fight. Herschel represents Rick's heart and Sasha represents Rick's wisdom and sacrifice.

As much as I love rick as a character, the show has got stale and boring and as hard as it is for me to say this, maybe he was the problem. Maybe this might work out for the better and give other characters time to shine. While still seeing Rick in new and exciting storylines in his own movies.

I left after the bashing of Glenn, and have only seen snippets. I might watch a one and done movie though

Jens B

this show cant get me hyped anymore after the last 2 seasons, im not very excited

I have a theory for the Jadis A,B situation. could be entirely wrong but I think that A might be Male and B might be Female, as Jadis was saying she had an A to make the helicopter come as this other group might see Male's as more lucrative (+they asked for an A) and when she saw Rick she switched to B saying she wants to save a friend so maybe her intentions are to give herself to save Rick.

I'm excited. Fun fact by the way, the actress playing Judith was young Rey in the force awakens.

Dip602

I'm intrigued i wish they would have ended Rick's story there and did the time jump i would be more excited but I'm definitely happy with the way the show is going

TbcAlex

She said ”I always thought you were a B” to Gabriel though.

I’m torn between more excited and less excited. I’ve been watching “The Walking Dead” since the beginning, and though I’ve had moments of pure anger and disappointment over the decisions made by characters on the show, and executives in the boardroom, I stood by the show and stuck it out. Not just because I’ve wanted to see what happened next, but because Rick Grimes was just an amazing character worth making the effort for. With him Rick departing, at least for now, my desire to watch the show will hinge on what the remaining cast or new additions to the show, has to offer us.

Derek H

Leaving after one of the most iconic comic book moments is bold lol. Also, it’s a trilogy for Rick. Not just a one and done

I like it but I dont like that the show couldn't follow through and kill Rick. I understand why, but it just seems extraordinarily contrived

The Doctor

I'm excited, but only because Season 9 has been such a vast improvement. If they do other stuff and keep it to this standard - I'm on board! I'm willing to bet if the show doesn't do well without Rick, then after the movies have finished Rick will make a grand return.

Reaction Junkie

I'm excited for the Movies that is why i voted "more excited". The series now is meh, Rick Grimes was literally the only thing that made the last 2 seasons watchable. Although i do admit s9 is much much better then s7 or s8 but still now they don't have Rick Grimes sooo yea, plus.. they killed off Vane ... huuuge mistake imo

I think I'm excited mostly because of the 6 years time skip with new characters & I assume the conflicts with the saviors has ended which dragged for so long also, I watched the promos/spoilers which I don't normally watch but only because I really wanted the show to hook me again and it look fresh and different, even the first few episodes didn't do that for me, the dialogue was better but they suffered the same problems as the last seasons in my opinion.

Anonymous

Mostly excited, but they better give a damn good reason for Rick not returning to his daughter in 6 years. Maybe he's a prisoner?

Matthew Cronin

I'm always excited for the continuation of my beloved characters, I just hope they write them well and don't use this as a money grabbing excuse.

Anonymous

I'm more excited but I voted less excited because I wanted to make it an even 50/50 split since that would be cool

DeathStalker

I mean, i guess i am more excited for Walking Dead now.. for the past 2 Seasons i have had no interest for the show but continued watching anyways, but now i am genuinely interested in seeing what place Rick is going to (and wtf that chopper guy does for a living) and the whole "evolved zombies" thing. AND WTF A & B MEANS!

Anonymous

I can’t vote because I’m honestly torn. I feel like the writing has been better this season, which makes me optimistic, but the way this was marketed reeks of a gimmick just to boost ratings, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll keep watching but I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it yet.

If Andrew Lincoln is leaving because he wants to go home to England why don’t they just do a storyline where rick goes to England film it England then after a couple seasons when he wants to come back go back to Atlanta it’d cost a lot of money and hassle probably less then making 3 unnecessary movies but it’d be worth it to keep Andrew Lincoln they’re using Andrew leaving as an excuse to do unnecessary stuff spreading themselves thin to the detriment of the main show if they want to expand the universe they could just put all that creativity and money into the actual show to make it bigger and better then ever

Anonymous

I'm excited to see where we're heading. Though i'm also a little bummed out. I'd love to have a new change of scenery, but the story has been set up to have us stuck in the same place for a long ass time. I just hope we get to see somewhere new and fresh soon!

As a fan since the very start I am continually excited to see what comes next and if it disappoints then let that be the case but I can never Not be excited for what is to come. Also, I've been hit with a knew outlook on the show. It can be said that is was never about Rick or Carl or anyone else. It is in fact the life story of Judith starting from her conception in S1E1 up until now. S1-9 is basically a prequel series for how she got to where she is, a badass kid with a colt, katana and stetson

Darth Skhorrn

I gave up on this show two seasons ago, but I always hoped that Rick's final episode would end with some dignity. Guess that was too much to ask for. Instead, it was some cheap emotional manipulation fakeout to set up more of their shared universe I'm never going to watch. And rather than experience the impact of his loss organically, it's just skipping ahead six years. I hate massive time jumps because it robs you of genuine growth and development. Fuck this show and the people who write it.

Stefanniko

As long as there's still negan there's still hope

Jeff Knapp

I'm excited for the future of the franchise the writing has been so much better this season. Also not sure if you knew but the actor playing Judith was also Young Rey in Force Awakens.

I read what happened in this episode because i honestly couldn’t be bothered with the show anymore. After watching it and crying like a little bitch i couldn’t be more excited 😂😂

Joel

I wasnt really excited for the show anymore, however after learning about the movies, and the flashforward with Judith, I can see a clear ending for the franchise with Rick reuniting with his family
