First half of Season 6 in general is underrated in general IMO. The cliffhanger of the plastic 2 parter and A Good Man Goes to War are amazing reaction episodes.

This is honestly my favorite season of Doctor Who (Even thou there were 2 episodes I just don't like). Excited to see what you guys think.

I'm so excited for series 6. It is honestly one of my favourites (which is definitely in part because I have a lot of nostalgia for it - it was when I caught up to the show). And this two-parter is one of my favourite series-openers. Glad you all enjoyed it, despite (and maybe because) all the confusion and WTF-faces. Oh and I'm glad the guys are pointing out things like beautiful shots and the music - I love that stuff in this one. Also, that discussion had me trying to cover up my laughter so much that my sister came in to check on me since she thought I was crying. While it didn't really stick to the point, it was amazing. "HOW DID THE BEAR GET IN THE ROOM?!" - classic Blind Wave. And the reaction too of course. Aaron must have had so much fun watching the chaos unfold. And yes, that is indeed Mark Sheppard's dad. I usually say this, but I'm SO HYPED FOR NEXT WEEK.

Aaron should have mentioned about the filming location! They actually filmed in the U.S., not a stand in as they so often do. Lake Powell, Utah and some of the surrounding area. Made for some great shots. So shooting a lightsaber fight there is very feasible for the crew. Quite a number of Tatooine scenes were also filmed in California, at places easily accessible. Would love to see the crew pack up and take a "work" trip to shoot at places like those.

1) Shane, it is not that River missed 6 shots. The astronaut just shrugged it off. The thing walked out of the lake, we have aliens and time travel, and you assumed River missed rather than this thing is just extremely resilient? Come on. 2) Eric, this is a time loop. Canton was there in 1969 when all this went down. Then in the future he goes to see River and the rest and gives his name, which is unusual and unique so that the Doctor can search for his name and find him in 1969. Which triggers the events in 1969 which closes the loop. So Canton is crucial to this time loop. Saying he "does nothing" is very wrong. 3) Aaron, the thing you're looking for is "ontological paradox". 4) Calvin, your criticism of the "looking away and forgetting" thing? It's easy to criticize because YOU have the benefit of watching this unfold. You get to see it happening multiple times and you figure out the rules as a viewer. How the hell would any of the characters be able to realize the rules when they keep forgetting it? I love you guys and watching you guys spitball but Christ, it's incredible and frustrating and incredibly frustrating how you always seem to either "overthink" or "underthink" things. I live for the moments you actually hit bullseyes.

I find this season to be very up and down, and it's one of those things where it can be up and down several times in the same episode. Starts to lose it towards the end for me and doesn't regain it until 7B, properly stabilising for S8, 9 and losing it a little for 10.

I'm surprise the guys didn't predict one of the 2 big twist for later. It's fun seeing their reaction to River and the doctor's antic. And it's good to see Shane as now accepted 11th as the doctor.

Not knowing what's coming next I must say Moffat gets another great intro to a season. Anyway I am always game for some more River. I forsee me going on a rant in one of the future episodes so I am laying as much praise as I can while I can.

I am surprise no one proposed that alternative to Shane on 1 but no one acknowledge the resilience of the suit so I would say wether you think the suit was that good(I believe such) or the astronaut was to far you is up to each person. They might understand 2 by the end or when they rethink/rewatch it. Didn't know 3. I should read on time paradoxes 4) River is facing a monster I expect her to yell "doctor" then move or try shooting them. Not just quietly move away. She usually does so. See a problem, yell to him to come see. I would expect the same against pretty much every monster. It's what Amy did when watching the angel on tv. But it's a minor thing and I think Calvin presented it as such . It did not break the episode or seemed impossible to happen. Just a minor detail that jump to your eye. Not trying to correct you just wanted to share my own vision of things about those parts. The reapers discussion are probably the one clarification I wanted for them and Eric decided they should move from so that's great. There's also fixed points and meeting of 2 doctors but that's for waaay later.

love this episode but can not wait for y’all to see the next ! steven moffat was one of my fave writers for this show for the storylines. every doctor is different but matt smith was such an amazing doctor and has the most emotional storyline for me <3

Now that you know about The Silence that you see and instantly forget after you stop seeing them, you can rewatch episode 5x01 and see two instances of it happening to characters. Rory in the hospital looking sideways at something when in front of Prisoner Zero (disguised as a woman with little girls). Amy in the TARDIS looking up and getting really scared, but then she turns to the Doctor and is suddenly calm again, asking him "why me?" That is how far back Moffat put these ideas in the show.

cool, you'r this far already! This one is where me and Kevin was kicked off cable. Lack of money. It wouldn't be till a year later I got the best buy off eBay all nine Series of new who only $79.00. I later got both part 1 & 2 of series 10, the Complete Specials from series 4 a five disk set. Doctor Who The return of Doctor Mysterio, The Day of the Doctor, Doctor Who the Movie with Paul McGann and Sylvester Mcoy. and the Adventure in Space and Time. And would then fill in the gap's with DVD's.
