Mariah is a good villain. I loved that I hated her. You can see that she's losing it mentally, on a downward spiral. Also Bushmaster is great. It's like what we got in Daredevil with Punisher's appearance.

The way I think it happened was Quincy and Bugsy were in business together when the Irish cops and Italians came along wanting it for themselves. Quincy wanted to fight, Bugsy didn't. So the Irish went to Bugsy and offered him the club and rum profits if he killed Quincy. So he shot Quincy but Quincy shot Bugsy too, it just took Bugsy months to die. So yeah the Stokes screwed over the Mclvers hard.

Why can't the team just admit Pete raped Mariah, i dislike her too but i can't believe that Eric won't called it what it was. She was YOUNG and trusting.Its happens so often all over the planet. To rationalise pedophilia is weird to me just weird.

Mariah is terrible, but you guys are giving Cottonmouth and Shades way too much credit. Cornell definitely followed rules on the street in terms of Pop’s place being neutral and was upset when one of his thugs broke that, but if Bushmaster had come after him and his family he would have hit Bushmaster’s family back just as hard. A important aspect of his character last season was him wanting to save face and project power. That is why he kept going after Luke in increasingly dumb ways to save face. There is no way he would have left Bushmaster’s family out of a blood feud just because they are innocent because he would want the streets and other rivals to know he is just as vicious and cruel as anyone and not to fuck with him. Shades is as much as a hypocrite as Mariah. For all his talk about a code he has killed innocent people to further his agenda as well. He killed the girl last season himself to protect both himself and Mariah. I get hating Mariah. She is a hypocrite, ugly on the inside, and evil bitch. I think you are letting your hate of her blind you to other villains faults.

I agree. This season made me like her as a villain more than Cottonmouth. I also felt like this season did an excellent job humanizing her without necessarily making her sympathetic. I can understand why Mariah does what she does, but not agree with it. Bushmaster is equally as great or greater. I disagree with Eric on John just being a foil Luke and not a villain. Personally I felt he was just as bad as Mariah was for most of the season in terms of hypocrisy and getting innocent people caught in the crossfire, but unlike Mariah he finally sees where his inability to let go of his anger cost him. Bushmaster destroyed his family and finally gets it.
