I know you guys hate the "X hours earlier" things in general, but I think it was extremely effective in this case.It draws your focus to figuring out how Saffron screws Mal over, and so once that happens, you let your guard down, and you don't see the twist with Inara coming. Basically it draws your focus towards what you would suspect anyway in order to draw focus away from something completely unexpected to make it an even better surprise.

When Kaylee starts laughing when Wash asks “WHAT IS SHE DOING ON THE SHIP?!” It’s little touches like those, where you're not even sure if it was an accident or on purpose that just make this show feel so organic and delightful :) Also, I can’t tell what I love more: Eric’s reaction, being a first timer to the show, or Calvin’s, who knows what’s coming and seems to genuinely enjoy sharing it with Eric. That’s why this show has such a following. You can’t help but want to share it with other folks in the Verse :)

So glad Eric and Calvin decided to do this series, I've been wanting an excuse to watch Firefly for so long now and am really enjoying watching it with the guys

FYI your 1x09 vid got taken down. Fox being assholes as usual, but it's a bit of a bummer for someone who was behind and now can't catch up.
