Some of the best Chinese lines in the series are in this episode. After Mal realized Jayne was trying to trade, the Chinese he says means "The explosive diarrhea of an elephant". When Saffron tries to seduce Wash, he says "Holy mother of god and all her wacky nephews" Don't read anything into the myth Saffron tells Wash, by the way. It was a made up myth designed to seduce men. The Bible passage she told Mal was fake too

I loved the line "Well, my days of taking you seriously are definitely coming to a middle." I think Joss Whedon puts in a line in every episode that has never been seen on a typewriter before.

And from this point, the show goes from "really, really great," to "one of the absolute GOATs" basically all the way to the end and including Serenity the film. Not to hype up expectations or anything...not at all....;D

I think Heart of Gold is more on the "really, really great" side, personally. But other than that, certainly. Out of Gas is my personal favorite, but there's so many good moments to come

One of my favorite episodes. Really the start of a great core 5 for me. There is a deleted scene one of the funniest scenes in the show you guys should check out. Where river wants to marry Simon. It's on YouTube it's a fun watch.
