3rd tokoyami style

Endeavor is good at his job but he is an absolutely despicable and abusive person-especially in his family life. He also only wants to be the number 1 hero to surpass All Might, not to help others and be the symbol of peace. He is the epitome of the "false hero" idea that Stain despises, that's why Stain hates him so much and said his name with such rage and disgust at the end, not because they had any history fighting each other.

THIS AND THE LATEST EP!! THANK LORD FOR SATURDAYS

GlamdringandOrcrist

I can’t believe they still think Endeavor has multiple wives. He’s only had one, and that’s Rei

I always thought he hated Endeavor because the guy's literally everything he hates about today's hero society. He looks at Endeavor and only sees a man who has grown in wealth because of his hero status, a man who's only goal is to be number one for nothing more than to have the fame and glory. He's probably the guy he hates the most!

I think one of the things with Stain is that you need the power to back up your words as well. That's part of why he admires All Might so much. Not only is All Might the embodiment of all the values a hero should have, he's also the most powerful hero there is. After paralyzing Midoriya the first time, he said "There are countless false heroes around here who are all talk." It probably comes from the idea that people with good intentions but without the ability to actually help can end up making the situation even worse. Basically, to be a true hero to Stain, you can't just have either heroic ideals or power. It has to be both.

1. He went after Tenya’s brother because he runs a large commercial agency with multiple sidekicks on his payroll; he probably has a branding deal and an office and a publicist etc. Stain probably can’t believe that Ingenium is a true hero and also wants to run a business through his image. 2. Stain said only Almight is worthy of killing him, not that no one else can be a true hero. 3. He hates Endeavour because he is the embodiment of everything he believes is wrong with false heroes.

4. Stain was literally just burned by Shoto 5 minutes before

The Native Hero said something like "I'll kill you" so just like he was planning to let Iida go at first, Iida spoke of revenge both are NOT hero traits at all in Stain's eyes. Tensei may have been similar in that he wanted to get revenge for one of the many sidekicks in his agency. Not really sure but Stain DID say "Choose your words carefully" as if he were judging your very character by them. This is such a good short arc - so far its the best for me. But I haven't seen season 3 yet. Great reactions guys!

As far as I am aware, Stain has no personal history with Endeavor, but he hates him because Endeavor embodies everything that Stain hates about modern heroes (another contrast to All Might, who embodies everything a hero should be). The burn that Stain has was likely because, ya know, Shoto set his face on fire not five minutes earlier -.-

Endevour is the apex of everything Stein hates. He's a pro hero, obsessed with fame and glory of being numer one hero. He's also an workaholic hero, who only cares about overscoring and not actually helping people. I don't think they have history, but being the incarnation of the fake hero, Endevour spiced Stein's ire.

Well today MHA just came out with their greatest episode yet cant wait for you guys to see it now. Time to start the countdown bois to episode 3-11

They were burn "scars" on his face not a recent burn injury and was "under" the mask, that's why he wears the mask in the first place. Whatever happened to Stains face happened in his past, it wasn't from Shoto's fire blast.

please skip episode 19, trash ass filler about the frog chick

From a cinematic standpoint, this show, and especially this episode, is amazing. I've seen very little mainstream anime that actually pays attention to its shots the way that MHA has, and even fewer that has been written so tightly and with such competence: there is hardly ANY filler, and hardly anything that doesn't come back in some way. That said, this episode is great for another, very smart - and surprisingly subtle - reason. If you noticed, Endeavor's debut is literally shot like porn: lots of low angle shots, close-ups, focusing on his chest and muscles, heavy shadowing, and most importantly, his face and eyes. This is from his point of view; this is how Endeavor sees himself. This is how the populace, and even we the viewers, are seeing him, too. He's just so goddamn cool that even you forget about all the horrible things he's done (which is absolutely truth in real life, too. R. Kelly can piss on as many underage girls as he wants so long as he keeps flashing his cash, looking cool, and turning out sick albums). HOWEVER, when Stain stands his ground and goes into his tirade, we are suddenly shifted into nothing but side-shots...and in Endeavor's side-shot, he's retreating in fear and uncertainty. Frontal shots are used to show how a character sees himself...but side-shots are used to show how/who a character really is.

And yeah, you're goddamned right that Stain would dislike someone like Endeavor the most, as he is the epitome, and most meta justification, of everything that he's trying so desperately to correct about the flawed hero-society, of people making idols of others based on their image, and not on their actual deeds. They, and we, are willing to turn a blind eye to heinous acts and problems that need to be solved so long as they flex for the camera or sell some fanservice now and again (Uwabami). Now normally, and in any other show, it would be easy to have it be a black-and-white argument and say that Stain is just "wrong" or just "right". There have been plenty of real-life terrorists and extremists that have preached their ideals, and made no impact despite their effort, because that's just the way the world works; it's ridiculously rare that a single person can change the world on xer own. The fascinating thing about Stain is that for whatever reason, he actually IS achieving his desired results by his actions. It really SHOULDN'T be working, but it IS, not only giving credence to his cause, but also that whereas he isn't "right", he definitely isn't "wrong" either: their society is definitely out of whack, and drastically NEEDS to change.
