Olivier's reaction to izumi tossing sloth around like a rag doll was priceless cause its rare to see that kind of reaction from her. Obviously the Armstrong's and Curtis's are gonna hang out together a lot

The interesting thing about Sloth's death (like all Homunculi deaths so far) is that there's a nice thematic element to it. Sloth is defeated primarily by Alex (who ran from Ishval and refused to fight) and Olivier (who kept herself and her men at Briggs safely guarded but didn't get involved in anything outside of it) and then finished by Izumi (who has never referred to herself as an alchemist until the last episode) and her husband. They all showed some form of sloth, and together they defeated it.

You'll get an explanation soon, but in fullmetal everything has a reasonable explanation I wouldn't expect any "power of the feelings" "Old magic" "Love" or any of that, everything will be reasonable and expalained with established or pre-established concepts no Deus Ex Machinas.

I’ve been dying for them to get to the Wrath fights. I can’t wait to see their reactions to them. I still remember reading the manga for the first time and being shocked to see what Wrath could really do when he cuts loose.

Another Irony is that Sloth died from Overexertion. He was still struggling to get back up and fight. There seems to be that dual Irony in most of them. Lust was defeated by a womanizer, but at the same time it was Roy's LOVE for Hughes and his comrades that gave him the resolve to keep fighting.

There's a few things I wish were explained more. Like the differences in the Homunculi. (New) Greed and Wrath were created in a seemingly identical method but their properties and abilities are different. It's presumed they created Wrath specifically so he would age, and excluded any kind of powers that would reveal his identity as super-human.

I've been waiting for this ever since Eric first fell in love with Armstrong. I thought he would be fulfilled because that was Armstrongs reaction to a strong guy with a belly, basically as close as he can come to meeting him in person :P

I fell behind on this reaction series way back when, and I have only now decided to catch up. From episode 37 to here. In like, two days. So. That's been a lot of FMAB reactions. It's been great. :D (Now I actually have to wait for a week again though. Dammit.) I've been waiting for this episode a lot though. The muscle show-off, the return of Wrath and the meeting between Father and Hohenheim... SO MUCH EPIC STUFF. I expected Eric's reaction to the meeting between Sig and Armstrong, and it was glorious. I think one of my favorite little details in this is in the Father and Hohenheim fight, Hohenheim creates an East Asian dragon, while Father creates a Western one. It's both directly a contrast between them, with their connection to Amestris and Xing, and symbolically, with the different tempers often proscribed to those two types of dragons. NOW I just have to wait for next week like everyone else. Well then. Here we go. :D
