The Ood Sphere and the Sense Sphere mentioned in this episode are planets in the same star system. The Sense Sphere is home to the Sensorites and the Zilgans and was featured in a first doctor episode from 1964.

Always found the first half of this season a total drag, a slog to get through before the greatness of episodes 8-13. But Blind Wave's reactions make it all worth the while.

It’s definitely a slog but it’s setting up all the great plot lines of episodes 8-13. Which I think is great writing to keep everything on track and not lose any of the threads

Am I the only person who truly loves this episode?? Maybe it’s because I like the ood. This was the episode that made me a Donna fan. She was spitting hard truths and sticking up for an alien race.

I don't have much to say for this one, except for WOW LONO, THOSE OPENING CREDITS. YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN. (I like the episode, but really, it's pretty self-contained. So no paragraphs this time. The ood transformation still gross me out though. But I love the Ood in general, and Ood Sigma the most. Also the song is really beautiful.)
