Megan Linart

This was such a great final episode. Better then the series finale we actually get :/

Anonymous

Momo witnessed the Ozai/Aang fight!

Anonymous

Yeah that would have been a good ending but MAN ending it on that shot would have been so depressing. Good thing there's Book 4!

Mitchell Fanning

Ok ERIC was right about every argument in that discussion, come on guys. Lol

Anonymous

We made it, boys! Here's to one more Season!

Anonymous

Holy shit, an hour?

Anonymous

Eric is 100% correct about the flying but come on man Shane is right watch Chuck it is so good

Ryan Gordy

Every time Aaron starts one of these arguments, you can just count the fallacies off as he goes lol this one is mainly him trying to use semantics to beat Eric's argument.

Anonymous

Wow guys.... 15 min discussion on whether or not Aang actually flew/the concept of flight? It's not integral to the story. I love your discussions but sort out your priorities.

Anonymous

Aaron i can't see if your just always trolling or just a complete simpleton.

Anonymous

Eric is incorrect. Aang has flown. So did Korra in this episode. Both were propelling themselves under their own power, just as a plane propels itself.

Anonymous

All Hail the Great Uniter

GarikLoran

Aang flew, just not in the same manner as Zaheer. How is that even a discussion?

Anonymous

OMG...I've never laughed so hard..thank you guys for making my morning!

Anonymous

Sokka , Suki, Momo, Fire Nation members, and Momo...and someone in the background spectating not on screen...with the only exception of Toph due to blindness

Anonymous

Eric is right. Aang and other airbenders only flew when the Airbened air around them to move them. Zaheer flies on his own similarly to how Flying Bison do it.

Anonymous

No, he's right. Of course there are certain ways how benders can kind of "fly", like firebenders who "fly" by shooting fire out of their feet, but Guru Laghima and Zaheer are the only ones who REALLY ever flew. And Aang "flying" in the Avatar State doesn't count if you ask me.

Derek H

They wouldn’t have made such a big deal (in the show) about Zaheer flying if it wasn’t something extraordinary. Why didn’t any character say “wow he’s flying like the avatar!” or “That’s like how we fly with our gliders!” Eric is right (once again)

Anonymous

That look that they gave each other when Asami said "if you ever want to talk or anything" made me laugh so hard. Korrasami confirmed!

Mark Nutz

Eric was right. Aang wasn't flying like Zaheer was flying.

Anonymous

That ending is so beautifully heartbreaking. A broken Korra realizing her biggest fears are coming true but not in an evil way is such a great conflict for her. With the Air Nation keeping the peace, the Avatar isn’t needed. Book 3 and 4 are so good.

Christophe Kanaa

He levitated he didn't fly.....He just got up...It's not flying. Also Airbender "flying" with the gliders means they can't fly on their own they glide and use propulsion. It's like saiying fire benders are flying too, when they are only propulsing themselves. Airplanes are not really flying all the time either. There is a period where they do and after that it's only either propulsion or gliding. I'm with Eric on this one.

Anonymous

Book 1 was planned to be a 1 season special event. Nickelodeon then ordered one more season near the end of Book One's original airing. Similar Book 2 was meant to be one season only, then Nick ordered 2 more seasons 1/3 of the way through it's original airing. Books 3 and 4 were then produced back to back.

Blackest Hippy

Aang never flew lmao aaron is wrong

Anonymous

Im with Eric on this one. Aang uses air around him to levitate/fly. Zaheer becomes air/wind

Greg Alan

Kind of a frustrating reaction. There's all this epic shit that happened and they focus on the semantics of flight for like 15 minutes.

Anonymous

Airbenders haven't flown that way for thousands of years, but the Air Bison use it naturally. I think that's why they had the episode about the baby bison learning to fly for the first time.

Anonymous

I think a good way to think about the flying argument is that when "flying" Aang is the passenger (of his glider or air bubble) while Zaheer is the vehicle. Zaheer is just weightless, he balanced out his weight against gravity whereas Aang is constantly fighting his weight with airbending.

Anonymous

They never said Aang flew like Zaheer. Just that they both were flying.

Bruce

Also. Aang had to go full avatar state to simulate flight. Zaheer did that shit all on his own.

Anonymous

am i doing something wrong or is only up to 3x6 available in full length now

Anonamai

WOW. First of all fuck arguing with Aaron. Holy craphole Rick rein them in!! #onlyzaheercanfly. I’m such a Book 3 Stan that this irked me but at the same time I enjoyed it because it’s their honest discussion. I always get choked up watching this ending. Even watching through reactions and it being chopped up as such, it always has that sadness to it. Korra is tired and drained bro. BEST BOOK OF ENTIRE SERIES

hays collins

Jesus I skip forward like several times and your STILL the debating the whole flight thing. Hahaha

Anonymous

You guys talk about her new moves and what it may be yet you didn't even think of the fact that she can astral project and noone else can lol.

slvr572

I don't really understand why Eric is so hung up on Bolin being able to lava bend. It's not really a question of whether it's earned of not. Bolin and Mako's mother and father were from the fire nation and earth nation respectively. It's not genetics, but the lineage increases the likelihood of evolved abilities. He's probably just predisposed to having the ability. Doesn't mean others can have it as well, but it's more specialized and therefore rarer.

Anonymous

I loved your reaction even though the discussion about the whole flying thing is unnecessary because they won't get a better explanation xD

MRBS

Lavabending has absolutely nothing to do with his Fire Nation heritage. Lava is, literally, just heated earth.

Jake Rush

You can throw the ball to yourself as long as you are in shotgun. Marcus Mariota (the Titans quarterback) was allowed to catch his own pass because he started in the shotgun, not under center. Having the ball be touched by a defender doesn't affect the ability of the quarterback to catch the ball.

Jake Rush

That guard also fought Zaheer when he infiltrated Zoufu. She was able to take him.

Jake Rush

Amons motivations were still the same. He truly believed that bending was the source of evil in the world. He wanted to completely get rid of it. Blood bending explains his power, it doesn't change his motive though.

Anonymous

Great vid guys this was prob the scene that hit me most out of this series

Burooj Ahanger

She's also sad because she is slowly slowly, after each book feeling like shes becoming less relevant in the world. She stopped being the bridge b/w spirits and humans and lost her connection to her past lives in book 2. in book 3 finale the airbenders decided to take go around the world and help people in place of the avatar while she recovers. The first book brought into question her identity as a person who can bend. shes getting battered down after each book. also Bisons can fly, and they are airbenders. it would make sense for humans to be able to do that too if they learnt it.

Burooj Ahanger

if water benders can bend water in several states, its not that crazy to assume an earth bender to bend earth that got hot enough to melt, they may not have the power to change the "heat" of the earth itself, but they can by using friction and vibrations.

Nick R

First episode of ATLA. Aang literally says verbatim "It's NOT flying, it's airbending". If the main character says he doesn't fly, then he never flew.

Burooj Ahanger

they both flew using different airbending methods. ozai flew too. its still technically FLYING. Ironman flies, superman flies

Nick R

You might be using a link for a previous month. You have to have access to the January full length folder.

Anonymous

Damn Shane’s on 🔥

slvr572

I would argue that she's just as relevant as ever. The difference is that she FEELS like she's not important anymore. She's done a lot, but the nature of her role as the avatar is changing. Add the things that have happened to her so far and you have a very insecure/depressed/anxious young woman. She's still very relevant to the world.

hays collins

I have a theory that Gazan is still alive. When took down the ceiling and walls he made a cover for himself and dug himself into the ground and survived and escaped later

Anonymous

When you are watching the crew enjoy this Book finale, and are listening to their end discussion, and become absolutely giddy over how much they hopefully will enjoy the next volume, especially due to that one thing, And that person, and those events, and that thing they referenced, and that character, and that shocker, etc. ;) So glad they seem to be enjoying Korra, and for reasons I can't say, I feel like Book 4 is built for the Blind Wave crew specifically. :)

Anonymous

Aang never flew like Zaheer but he did fly and not in the Ozai fight- he says he can fly in episode 1 of book one and in episode 18 Aang calls out the people living in the Northen Air Temple that they were not flying they were gliding thats how Aang knew they were not airbenders ! so Eric, Shane you were WRONG and RIGHT hahahahahah

Username

Maybe not, but it made him a giant hypocrite, which really tainted his message. For me that only added to his tragedy, though, and helped make him my favorite villain.

Anonymous

it's not spoilers but other than Zaheer they are all dead !

Herberderber

Ha, Erics wrong. Anything that includes propulsion equals flight, Aang's movement of the air was propelling him up and he'd glide where he could.

Cactus Tony

Listening to them argue and argue in circles gets grating after the first 10 minutes.

Anonymous

Also Eric, I think the football play you are talking about is Steve Young, an old quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers. His first throw and completion in the NFL was to Steve Young, himself, because it was tipped and he caught it :)

Anonymous

Aaron if you are going to argue use actual articulate facts.

Matthew Rudolph

Okay I haven't watched the reaction yet I will in a few minutes but does anybody think they should watch/ reaction to the season 4 trailer. And also for @Blindwave a foot note for Season 4 was basically a shadow drop as season 3 ended. They announced the next season would be premiering in exactly a month but Nick decided to only stream it online I believe.

Anonymous

Shane, stop invalidating your feelings. You had every right to feel emotional. People always give Korra shit, but that's just the way she is. This episode clearly proves what a great avatar Korra is. Tenzin said it himself.

Lalisa Truong

If anything, it shows how far Korra has come if people feel sad or emotional over her current state.

Lalisa Truong

I feel it'll spoil their experience of the season if they watched it. Besides, there's a lot of spoilers in the trailer.

Anonymous

They forgot to talk about Shane's opinion "this was better than aang vs ozai". I loved Calvin's reaction "Realllyy?". It was a good fight but no where near aang vs ozai.

Anonymous

Whole discussion: Aaron: Aang can fly Eric: No he cant, Zaheer does it different Calvin: Thats not we are trying to s.. Eric: Zahher is not using any bending. Aang uses elements there is elements around him when he does Me: So fucking what he is flyingg

Liam Skoda

I think Mako avoids using lightning because it’s a lethal move. Ming Hua presumably died at that moment. Azula had no reservations.

Alex Morelli

I just laughed maniacally at the all “she’s such a supportive friend” and “they haven’t touched on the romantic side”

Alex Morelli

Yeah, they touch on a problem that has always been there, the way Korra deals with being the Avatar, and her fear that she isn’t worthy. In all the books the recurring theme is Korra trying to live up to her Avatar status, and never succeeding, I love book three and four because she finally comes to realize that she’s her own person, not her past lives, and not an omnipotent being, she is motherfricking Korra and that’s more then enough

Anonymous

If Shane thinks it is better, he has the right to think that. I don't agree with him, though

KBM

Korrasami hints OwO

Phonic Reassignment

toph couldve most likely bend platinum, she bent metal at like 8 her prime was like 20s so im sure she figured it out lava sand stone earth metal mud mercury space ect

Anonymous

I always consider Metalbending to be more precise while lavabending is more about raw strength, like Bumi would have picked up lavabending easier than metalbending.

Anonymous

Aaron and Shane's shared glance at 9:08.

Phonic Reassignment

wait but i thought her leg was injured because of that huge fall, and she got hit because shes fighting him and the poison shes in her literal last breathes of life she was at like 5% of 100%

Twinnumber01

For me I always thought that Zaheer’s flight was just as spiritual as it was connected to air bending. It was only after he let go of his earthly tethers that he was able too. I think it was almost like “spiritual flying.”

Anonymous

This is one of my favorite episodes, so to see the video length be almost an hour has me super excited. I get super emotional when Jinora receives her tattoos.

Matthew Vandiver

Wow that flight discussion. The next book is my favorite! Can't wait for the reactions!

MustacheKash

Season 3 pretty sure they thought was for sure the end because it got cancelled or something along those lines Nick didnt bring it back but then it got picked up by something else to do one last book 4 to close everything up

MustacheKash

And Aang was flying in the finale episode but Aaron Changed his argument to that, what he originally said was Aang flew using his glider which he did not and is wrong about that was using his glider to glide around manipulating the air current thats what Eric and Aaron were disagreeing about at first lol

Anonymous

The beginning of season 4 always annoy me, but it builds up to a very interesting storyarc. Minus a certain BS epilogue.

eliphass

What's wrong with the epilogue, is it because of a certain relationship ? Because the relationship Made sense if you pay attention

Sky Sirak

Imo, I always found it bs because it seemed like a good 'end of season' finale...not an 'end of avatar for good' finale. I'll always love this series, but eh. It felt like whatever.

Anonymous

ZAHEER FLIES USING THE SAME METHOD AS THE SKY BISON. WHY ISN'T THIS OBVIOUS?

Anonymous

Don't worry, Shane. Many of us likely got emotional at that scene. I know I did. The combo of seeing Jinora reminding us of Aang, seeing the Airbenders back flowing in unison, poor Korra trying to keep a smile on her face even though she is hurting, and THAT DAMNED SWELLING EMOTIONAL MUSIC. When the chimes started...Inwas a mess :)

Anonymous

zaheer became wind

Anonymous

Airbender Avatars can never do what Zaheer was able to achieve because as Avatar Yangchen said to Aang in ATLA Book 3: The Old Masters, "many great and wise air nomads have detached themselves and achieved spiritual enlightenment. But the Avatar can never do it, because your sole duty is to the world..." As the Avatar, Aang's earthly attachment is to the earth itself. His duties would prevent him from true weightlessness.

Anonymous

I'm totally reciting Zaheer's Guru "Become Wind" poem the next time I fart on someone, because it's the classiest way to do so.

Anonymous

Guys every time you get a tattoo you shave the area of skin.

Sky Sirak

"Mercury poisoning is a type of metal poisoning due to mercury exposure.[3] Symptoms depend upon the type, dose, method, and duration of exposure.[3][4] They may include muscle weakness, poor coordination, numbness in the hands and feet, skin rashes, anxiety, memory problems, trouble speaking, trouble hearing, or trouble seeing.[1]"

Sky Sirak

...and in some cases of metal poisoning, seizures and paralysis. T__T
