In his defence he has been calling this for a while, he right away knew something bad was going to go down as soon as robb "cheated" on the old pricks daughter he was going to marry.

Just because someone doesn't get emotional doesn't mean they're not invested. Lol. Not everyone has the same reaction as Calvin. Everything Rick said was correct. Robb didn't have a choice. The Starks aren't the smartest. It's been done in history and he's a history buff.... Teacher I believe.. so I imagine he's a little used to things like that.

I'm pretty sure that cut throat was squibs not cgi. I think I remember the director talking about it in the commentary for this episode.

Stop complaining about Rick, everyones reaction is different, that's why it's interesting. If you want the sadistic pleasure of watching someone get emotional and hurt by 3x09, there are thousands of those reactions on Youtube, go watch them.

Personally enjoyed this one more than Calvin's one. I just love seeing all these contrasting reactions as well as references that Rick spouts which I never would've known otherwise.

Exactly, Rick gets invested, but he isn't that sort of guy to start bawling etc. I said as much last week, I knew he would take the pragmatic view. Rick knows too much about real world history and has GM'ed too many D&D games to take anything other than the pragmatic view

Calvin's reaction was the best with Eric. He loves the show and is invested in the characters. Rick not so much but I really like him and think he's funny. Lessa reacted a little more but still not as into the show as Calvin and the rest of Blind Wave.

Anyone saying Rick didn’t have any emotional reaction, look closely at his face when the womb stabbing happens. He’s cringing and it’s a quite pained expression that might look like a smile. I think after that he just knows what’s gonna happen.
