Keyboard Junkie

That moment you randomly refresh and find a new Korra up. 🙂😀😃😄😁😆

Etty Gafa

You guys are getting it all wrong, raava is the spirit who can carry all four elements, but the human only carries its own native element, so if raava dies that means Korra only has water

Anonymous

Damn that ending gets me every time.

Anonymous

I have so many fucking answers that I wish I could just reach through the Internet to tell you.

Etty Gafa

Human can’t take all four bending at once only if the avatar spirit is in them, but once wan and raava bonded way back in the beginning episode he can control all four elements becos the avatar spirit is in them, so when vaatu and unalog bonded in this episode they became the evil avatar but unalog only had water so the evil avatar spirit vaatu just powers up unalog bending.

Anonymous

no calvin is right. Wan could use all four, but only one at a time. Rava traded 1 at a time with him even during his big battle by passing through him constantly until they combined.

It's not just Water Tribe benders who have been the villains so far... it's been NORTHERN Water Tribe benders. The Northern Water Tribe is just full of assholes. Remember how douchey they were in Avatar: the Last Airbender?

Alec Campo

Korra was using Waterbending against Unalaq because Waterbending is all about using your opponents force against them. If she used fire, he would of just knocked it away with water. If she used earth, he could simply fly out of it’s reach. With water, she can manipulate his water and drag him down like we saw. Though when they were hand in hand she should’ve blown fire in his face. She was about to, but Vaatu came out of Unalaq and interrupted it. Also realize Korra is always doing the same thing as Tenzin. She wants to be like Wan and Aang and all the previous Avatars instead of being her own person and believes if she isn’t the Avatar she is worth nothing. She is also holding on to a false perception of herself.

Alec Campo

Well not really. Technically both Tarrlok and Noatok were raised in the southern tribe.

I have been waiting months for your reaction at Zhao's cameo and I was not disappointed! :D This season really has been a season of callbacks and cameos from ATLA but Zhao took me completely off guard when I first watched this episode.

Anonymous

I love when one of the guys is wrong but so convinced that he is right that he's able to convince the other three he's right. Calvin and Aaron are the best at it.

That music combined with seeing all those Avatar lives disappear gets me every time I watch this episode... I LOVE IT! Second best Season right here

Anonymous

In my opinion this is 1 of the most emotional episodes since it felt like everything we watched with ata was just taken away with the elimination of the avatars past lives 😭😭

Anonymous

This episode always pisses me off because of what happened to the connection to the past avatars. It always seemed like a cop-out to not use Aang talk to Korra especially with what happens in Book 3.

Anonymous

When the Avatar theme starts playing and Korra's eyes light up in the darkness I get chills.

Anonymous

Korra's physical reactions to Raava being destroyed always makes me emotional, like I can feel her pain.

Anonymous

Is it bad that I like the guys' ideas better than what actually happens in the show? Also, LOVE that bass chord they use for Vaatu's energy blasts. Such a cool sound effect.

sokka went to the spirit world in season 1 ep 7

Zhao the conqueror! Zhao the moon-slayer!

This is the worst episode in all of Avatar. They took a huge dump on the original series and was just lazy writing so they don't have to have more past lives to explore. People only watched this series because of Aang. So to screw aang over like that is disrespectful. I hated this season, nothing made sense, Korra was a b*tch and the only good episodes were with Wan but even those weren't great. Overall Id give this season a 3/10. All expectations were not met at all, a huge disappointment.

Liam4271

Yeah..well, that's just like...your opinion, man.

TbcAlex

Great episode

Jude Miller

Non-benders in the Spirit World? I'd assume Guru Pathik went.

Anonymous

I remember when the water Spirit took Zhou. I still wonder who else is in the fog.

Lalisa Truong

I didn't feel like it was a cop-out. For the first time since Wan, Korra was truly on her own as the Avatar. This allows her to forge her own path and to deal with new issues without the guidance of her past lives. And considering what does happen later, this idea is even more important in a way.

one ep and we finish this season yeah

KTok

My favorite part about this episode and the next are that yes, as Alec said above Korra is also holding onto a false perception of herself, just like Tenzin. And in most ways, fans at this point were holding onto a false perception of what the show should be. They've tried to make it very clear from the beginning it's a whole different show with a totally different type of protagonist. It was sort of their way of saying "we won't use the past lives because we aren't the past show". I liked it so much more the second time than my initial reaction to the episode (I had still liked it, but was sort of like "what the hell?"). And also some other things that show that growth in the next episode that I won't talk about here

Anonymous

Rava held the elements for Wan he only held one at a time until they fused.

Anonymous

man, tbh i love this season. Iroh coming back, the animation, the music. these things are just sooooooo good.

Burooj Ahanger

no they Wan kept needing to have Ravaa go through her after getting all 4 to use more than 1 element

Jjop017

I always wish Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya all had these life changing realizations and visions of their father and see them letting go their baggage together. I liked the setup of the siblings father problems, but it felt like this moment with Aang was where they built up to and I feel like they should have all had that vision and let go of the perceptions of themselves and how it tied into what they think Aang expected of them. It would have been powerful if Bumi realized he was never a disappointment just because he wasn’t born an air bender and he shouldn’t have to try so hard to make up for his perceived shortcoming. As cliche as it is when they all overcome their problems they use their skills to find Jinora and leave together. I like Tenzin and Aang moment, but it just felt like a missed opportunity to me not to have all three getting a vision of him.

Aaron explains stuff that they don't remember in such a way that when he is wrong, he seems right and they doubt themselves. Not to say Aaron isn't right half the time, but when he's wrong, he has so much conviction, the others believe him. Raava would pass through Wan to switch switch between elements and then would fuse with him so he could bend all four at one time.

Andrew Garcia

The ending of this episode is why I hate this season despite the epic battle scenes

Andrew Garcia

Oh also The Tenzin scene is awesome one of my favorite moments

Anonymous

You guys always hate my favourite characters. First azula now twins

Liam4271

Love your channel and each individual guy's contributions, but can we agree that Aaron has, objectively, the worst memory. So many interesting conversations are stalled, sidetracked, or missed because he mis-remembers something and convinces everyone else that he is right. No hate, but you need an algorithm like if 2 or more (or usually just Eric) disagree with Aaron over show facts, then Aaron is declared wrong :)

Anonymous

I've been waiting for this episode for a while, as the moment between Tenzin and Aang might honestly be my favourite moment in the entirety of the show. It resonates on such levels I can barely define.

Anonymous

wan needed rava in order to switch between elements, he knew how to bend them all but could only have one "equiped" at a time

Anonymous

The Siblings are awesomeee!!!! :) Also without Rava Korra can only really use Water since that's her natural element. But what makes the Avatar, The Avatar is the ability you can use all through Rava's power which is the Avatar spirit. But no if someone has all four powers then its deadly to that person cause it will kill them, consume them from the inside. Rava was the one who was giving Wang energy to withstand the powers all inside of him.

larsa valeth

rava only got the four powers from the lion turtles who used her as container to hold them and switch them for wan. the benders at each turtle taught him as well as rava. Vatu never carried the powers might be why we only see him using water

Jen A. Blue

Yeah. The interesting question is what happens when Unaloq reincarnates. His spirit should be permanently bonded to Vaatu just like Wan's bonded to Raava, so what happens if Unaloq reincarnates as a different kind of bender? Would Vaatu carry Unaloq's waterbending into his new life, resulting in someone who can bend two elements?

Alex Morelli

Yeah, even back in season one when she thought she could bend only air she was about to kill herself to restart the cycle
