I really liked this season the first time I watched it, some great episodes in it!

Anonymous

This book is sooooooo good I love it so much. I think you guys will enjoy the back end of the season a lot.

Harry Utton

YES, been waiting like 10 hours for this 😂 I love this season just as much as the others so I can't wait for you to truly get into it

Cultured Degenerate

Hope they don't get turned off by how "meh" season 2 is. 3 and 4 are worth it, trust me.

hays collins

I can just see the disappointment on their faces. I feel bad for them. You guys just gotta make it through the first half of season two. Trust me it will be worth it

Anonymous

You guys may notice the animation looks a little bit weird. This is because Studio Mir- which animated all of book one and has most of the people who animated ATLA- didn't animate the first half of book 2.

Anonymous

Kind of weird they didn't automatically assume the spirit guy was a scapegoat. There was a scapegoat last season, so I would think they'd be wary of that stuff.

Angel

HEY! Can you guys watch the avatar mini's? There were two funny little shorts that they aired after a show that was super cute. I think u guys would really enjoy it.

Anonymous

Maybe I was a more troubled child lol, but I find it very hard to think you guys have never once clashed with your parents in a heated moment like that. I'm not proud of this by any means, but when I was maybe 15 or 16 and going through some dark times I flat out told my mother that maybe my problems were because she wasn't a good mother. Did I mean it of course not and I still feel bad about saying it years later but I mean like Calvin said it happens. Especially in Korra's case where she feels not only frustrated, but lied to. Tenzin and her Father may have had her best interests at heart but they all talk about her future as if her opinion doesn't matter. I'd be frustrated and upset in her shoes too. lol I for sure had friends like that too that made what I said tame in comparison. It may have also been hard to notice since the fight happened in the dark, but Unalaq was using water when he calmed the spirit. Those rings he encircled it with were made of water.

I love Korra :3

Noah Burke

I love Korra, but damn this season

Anonymous

It was an ostrich horse

While this book definitely has its problems it's still a real good one. My favourite characters in lok have always been tenzin and his family (esp jinora his oldest child) and this books gives them a good amount of focus and character development. There are so many moments in this book I can't wait for u guys to see!! Also verrick is wonderful and one of my fave minor characters too

Anonymous

Finally! This is my favorite season followed by Season 4, the ending of this season gets me every time.

Anonymous

The Mover was of an Ostrich-Horse!!

Anonymous

Welcome to the low point of the series

Anonymous

Don't know what you were watching but they didn't seem disappointed. try not to project your own feelings about the season onto them..

Anonymous

Good reaction!

Anonymous

I hate this season so much, it was disrespectful and lazy writing and the finale made no sense. It was like I was watching a Hayao Miyazaki film and I didn't like it because it made Korra non-distinctive. But I will watch it with Blindwave, just don't have to high of hopes when it comes to the season.

Anonymous

Welp, at least you get a great character and some good lore from this season. Never a good sign when the season tips its entire hand in the 1st episode.

Shane King

i know some people didnt like the contradicting stories but personally i adored the Wan episodes

Anonymous

Gets you how? Its just Pacific Rim with laser beams.

Anonymous

This season is generally the most disliked, but it picks up again in the 3rd season.

l

Forced Makorra, smh

Anonymous

Season 2 is the worst regarded of all seasons of Avatar, but on the other hand it contains 2 of the best episodes in the entire Avatar lore

Anonymous

No this season is horrible it actually has some great episodes. only thing I would say is that the first half of the season is a little weak. but its still KORRA

Anonymous

First half of this season isn't particularly strong (imo) but the later half into season 3 (my favorite season) is great! Can't wait to see their reaction to the rest of this show! ^.^

Erich Bomke

Cannot wait for episode 7 of this season!

coffeemilk

This season is a mixed bag. But I wouldn't call it a bad season, it has some of my favorite moments.

Burooj Ahanger

If you notice the water around the spirit when her uncle was doing the thing glowed like water does when water is used for healing. It's probably an extention of that technique. Healing the spirit.

Jake Rush

I know this is true, but I have yet to notice the difference on any rewatch. And I've seen it like 10 times.

Jake Rush

It's just a different personality type. I can honestly say that I never clashed with my parents. If I disagreed I let them know about it but I wasn't ever disrespectful. My sisters are a bit worse than me but not much. I have family though where both kids are continually yelling at their parents and being ridiculous.

This season isn't awful like a lot of people will say, but it absolutely has a bunch of like... annoying little issues that naw at you. Knowing who the villian is from the first second makes a lot of the first half frustrating to watch. The two Wan episodes annoyed me at the time, not because they're bad (they're great!) but my big problem with Book 2 was how slow Korra's side of the story felt like it was moving, so going from a present-day episode where she's barely in it to two flashback episodes shes also barely in was frustrating. But there's a lot of good stuff to be had in those episodes, and I think the back end of the season does a lot of good stuff that helps improve the season as a whole, with some of the best moments in the franchise. But all told, as a whole, it's one of, if not the weakest, season of the franchise. Luckily it's followed up by two of my favorites (including the best season of the franchise imo)

Jjop017

I liked Korra being a bitch because I felt like her getting arrogant made sense for her character. It was a good way to develop her and show mastering the elements doesn't mean she is a good Avatar yet. Negative character development can make characters more annoying, but just like in real life it happens too. Sometimes we need these bad experiences to help us grow as people. That is why I never minded the direction the writers took Korra this season. It definitely had consequences just like it does for people in real life and it ultimately helps her grow as a character. Maybe there could have been other ways to have her grow that kept her likable, but I liked this path. Kid with god like power, saved bending, and got her powers back easily is going to get full of themselves.

Not a good season overall, but it does have some good points. For me, one of those points is the introduction of Varrick, probably my favorite character in the LoK series.

Anonymous

I agree they took Korra in a completely different direction than Aang personality wise. It seems like a motif through the whole series. The legend of Aang had near perfect characters who are paragons of virtuous behavior (Aang, Katara, Sokka), while Korra is much more realistic and consequently annoying at times. I think it would be a mistake if the creators tried to put completely realistic behaviors in the avatar universe. Thankfully they didn't. I loved Avatar largely because of its extreme optimism and it's tolkien-esque battle against pure evil. The moments from Korra that I LOVED are the moments that go back to that orignal ATLA style. I wish I could say Korra's struggles and character development got me as invested as the orignal gang's but I would be lying. For me the most compelling moments of Korra are her moments of epic triumph, not the petty psychological realism of a teenager.

jennifer gonzalez

Can't wait for you guys to get to episode 7!!!

Rich Cassou

I can't agree with this enough, Varrick is such a great character

Non-spoiler worldbuildng background: Even though Amon turned out to be a fraud (in that he wasn't a non-bender), the fact that he was able to mobilize that much support indicated there was a real amount of discontent regarding the bender/nonbender dynamic in the city, considering the bender minority had a disproportionate amount of power over nonbenders through both the government and criminal underworld (the City Council, police force, and Triads were all dominated by benders). The transition of city government from a Council (each member representing a single bending/cultural group) to a singular elected President (who is supposed to serve the citizens as a whole) was part of the reforms enacted in the period after Amon's revolution to address those issues(six months passed between end of Book 1/start of Book 2). The newly elected president is a nonbender.

Anonymous

one clarification - you get your tattoos when you be come a master - Aang got his so early because he invented the AirScooter and he was the avatar

Sky Sirak

Something tells me you guys are going to...REALLY DISLIKE...this season. Because I swear to God, it's like not only every character in this season has learned NOTHING from the first, but they've ALL started taking stupid-pills. >_> Hang in there, Blindwave.

Manny D.

This season is meh with some cool episodes. Then the show gets back to being awesome in seasons 3 and 4

Gevin Tipsword

I think this season is just fine and i think they will like this season just fine.

Anonymous

Man I almost stopped watching this show when that big thing happened. It seriously ruined the whole point of avatar for me. I hope they can get past it, the other seasons are pretty good.

Mten10th

This season cements the fact that TLA is better.

Anonymous

the weakest season

Anonymous

Bumi, is obviously named after The King of Omashu, King Bumi, and is a non bender. Kya, is named after Katara's mom, Kya, and is a waterbender. Bumi is the eldest of the three, Kya is the middle sibling, and Tenzin is the youngest sibling.

Anonymous

If I had to rank the show's seasons it would be: 1) Book 1 - The best book in the series IMO 2) Book 3 - Some of the most interesting villains 3) Book 4 - Decent storyline 4) Book 2 - Hated Korra's attitude in this one

Anonymous

one of the main complaints of season 2 is that Korra regresses a little on her character development of season 1. Which is kind of true, but honestly it doesn't bother me. It makes when she eventually gets it right (and she does) even more satisfying. Also, they had to use a different animation studio for half of this season, so the animation is occasionally noticeably off.

Miles Macdonald

Speaking of Parks and Rec, Aubrey Plaza voices Eska, the girl twin.

Kay Scruton

Man I HATE this season! The main storyline is weak, Korra pisses me off to no end, and even what most fans say are some of the best episodes were still kinda boring.

Anonymous

Who's the baby? Katara's holding Rohan, he was born 2 episodes ago.

Mac Muscara

Hey guys, not sure if you're going to see this, and I don't think they ever really address it in the show, so to clarify, the "spirit bending" is a waterbending technique. It's basically waterbending healing but used to heal spirits

Cody Enos

I love Varick. He's a blast.

Anonymous

My list is way different than yours lol for me it's Book 2, Book 4, Book 3, & then Book 1

Anonymous

Korra is super bitchy in this season, but it's not as bad as everyone says. For one, it introduces Varik

Andrew Garcia

at first I thought he was annoying but afterwards def an entertaining comedic character. Do the thing

Andrew Garcia

while Book 2 contains a few of the series best episodes some writing choices about the finale pissed me off. Fortunately S3 was amazing

Anonymous

1 thing in defence of Korra. She just realized that it was her father who kept her locked at South Pole all this time.

Anonymous

Her father and Tenzin. And it had severes consequences in her understandment of the world :(

Anonymous

Korra is great. The last airbender was just incredibly special.

Anonymous

I think there are a lot of great things to react to this season!

Anonymous

No discussion on Varrick?! He's my man!

Anonymous

Zhu Lee...do the thing!

Carlos

Varrick is the GOAT
