So sorry again that the March streams gotta smushed, but now it's time to get back to the habit! As to the theme, I actually had an idea for a high-brow stream and some other adventurous ones (that we'll do soon), but honestly I thought a really goofy stream was in order. I'm just in the mood for that!

So get ready for: "WHEN ANIMALS ATTACK! OR HUG!" That is movies that have cuddly or not so cuddly features that do all sorts of things unbecoming of said animals. And sometimes all at once!

As always, it will be on https://www.twitch.tv/filmcrithulk

And again it will be TODAY, RIGHT NOW! REVISED SCHEDULE BELOW!

To the lineup! ALL TIMES PACIFIC!

1100am - preshow

1115am - Bringing Up Baby - If you thought Arsenic & Old Lace was batshit, get ready for Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, and a leopard to go their a madcap way.

100pm - The Birds - We go to Hitchcock's classic to answer the question "are birds real?" They are. And they're terrifying.

300pm - Lilo and Stitch - Is an alien an animal? I think so. I've also only seen this movie once and rather enjoyed it, but I know it's kind of a new disney classic so it feels like a good call for a rewatch :)

430pm - Mousehunt - I don't know if you know this, but Gore Verbinski's first movie fucking slaps. To think this is the film that helped launch Dreamworks! This one! Mousehunt!

610pm - Best In Show - Let's say we enjoy Christopher Guest's "pawferct" mockumentary film! See what I did there! It's like dog paws!

740pm - Eega - From the director of RRR comes a film that NO ONE MUST SPOIL IN ANY WAY. Everyone who hasn't seen it should go in blind as to the very subject matter. Get ready for this 3 hour incredible epic.

1000pm - Crawl - Had to go with some genuine animal attacking horror in the ten o'clockish spot. And this Raimi-produced gator film absolutely rocks. Fun. Scary. Solid storytelling. I'm all about Crawl, y'all!

1130pm - Secret Screening #1 - Continuing horror! Actually terrifying!

125am - Secret Screening #2 - Actually fun!

See ya then.

Screams of despair echo off the walls as the title of first secret screening resolves...

I'm not sure how much of my enjoyment of Eega came from the movie itself and how much came from the shared experience of watching it with Twitch chat, but it was definitely some mix of those.

It was great being there with y'all for the first two movies -- and I am SO GLAD I decided to stay up late to lurk for EEGA EEGA EEGA! Only the second Indian movie I've seen, but like RRR, it was very anime -- bit of Oshi no Ko, bit of Attack on Titan, bit of episode 2 of One-Punch Man, even floating magic circles. I was straight-up pumping my fists to the beat when "My Name is Nani" was playing. Sad that I couldn't be there for Cats, but even if I'd known it was coming, I was already sleep-deprived and there was no way I could justify staying up till 3:25 AM Central.
