I sorta kinda maybe definitely have a big birthday this month and to celebrate I just felt like doing a bunch of fun movies that I truly adore. Honestly, the biggest theme is just "Hijinks Ensue" so we'll go with that.

The stream will THIS Friday January 13th, starting at 1230pm pacific time!

As always it will be shown at https://www.twitch.tv/filmcrithulk

To the line-up! (which is always subject to change)

1230pm - pre Roll

1250p - Duck Soup - There isn't a more Hijinks-y way to start than the Marx Brothers. I probably like A Night At The Opera more, but it's been longer since I've seen this one, so we're gonna go with this! To Freedonia!

2p - Addams Family Values - As Wednesday-Fever sweeps the land, I thought it prudent to go back to the 90's. Because I don't think people realize just how much the first Adams Family movie was a massive hit (like nearly 200 million dollars big, which seems insane then). And sadly the sequel did about half of that, despite being the superior effort. Either way, I love this movie. If you haven't seen, you will also love this movie. There are like five lines I quote constantly.

335p - Supercop (AKA Police Story 3) - Other Jackie Chan films may have some better fights or funnier running gags, but I think this is the *BEST* overall film. Not just cause the story is weirdly functional and full of decent conflict, but because it has young Michelle Yeoh just absolutely owning the movie. Which makes it a MUST WATCH in the year of EEAAO.

510p - The Hot Rock - This was a more recent discovery in the last few years because it's a 1972 Robert Redford heist movie that somehow *I* had never heard of (don't worry, we'll show SNEAKERS at some point, too). But the less said about this one the better (seriously, no one spoil the approach), but this movie owns bones.

7p - To Be Or Not To Be (1942) - This. This is the one not to miss if you haven't seen it before (and there's a reason I'm putting it as close to primetime on both coasts as possible). We'll end up watching all the major Lubistch films in these streams, but this one is not just my favorite... but the best... and maybe one of the best movies ever??? I don't know. The fact that this was made in 1942 may seem insane once you've watched, but it's just proof pudding how much some people understand their time and place.

845p - Clue - This is one of those movies where I wore out the VHS as a kid. If you've never seen, it's time for a murderers row of comic actors having a blast with every trope of the murder mystery genre (sounds Knives-Out-ian, which had a great running gag about the board game). TimCurry4Eva.

1025p - Kung Fu Hustle - A lot of movies *say* their influenced by Looney Toons and for every Coen Brothers effort there's nine million efforts that come up short. But Stephen Chow's 2004 crime comedy western(!?) is the best translation of it I've ever seen. Get ready for a blast.

1205am - Secret Screening #1 - I've seen this a billion times and am ready for a billion and one.

130am - Secret Screening #2 - I've never seen and it's time I guess!

Can't wait!
