-Sorry I'm running around the next two days like crazy and not gonna get LOKI up until Saturday.

-Got the Fast and Furii retrospective up yesterday, but gonna see F9 this week and have that up by monday or tuesday!

-Finally got sent a file for the Cowboy Bebop movie so gonna get to that ASAP too - But since my anime sched now clear, drop ideas for what should be my follow up to Bebop! I have been keeping a master list of all the recs y'all been giving so I got some ideas and will probably favor something on the shorter side (FLCL, etc) and alternated shorter / longer as we go - but just wanna take temperature before I do the next poll!

Y'ALL CAN RIDE WITH MY CREW, ANYTIME!

... I've been watching too many Fast movies.

I second Ping Pong the animation and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! I would also suggest a short series called Haibane Renmei 13 episodes that I believe is for sale on Itunes. It's a somber and reflective show which might be a nice contrast or break from some of the more high energy recommendations when you are looking for something like that It's a longer show but Mushi-shi is an anthology series in feudal japan. It's a series of parables about man's relationship to nature and these misunderstood spirit creatures called Mushi. Perfect before bedtime fodder and perhaps a nice mix up to throw in between installments of another series This might be the place for movie recommendations but Ride Your Wave is the latest feature by Masaaki Yuasa a director of both film and television that I'm sure many people would like your take on (he directed both ping pong and Eizouken as well). Fun fact this was the last movie I saw in theaters before quarantine so it has a special weight to me personally

Oh, how could I forget to recommend Vision of Escaflowne another giant of 90's anime, with music by the composer of cowboy bebop! A big 26 episode fantasy epic that has always given me classic final fantasy energy. In particular I always think of 6 and 8. It's an all-time favorite for me and I always cry at the end

For other Yuasa anime, Hulk also had Mind Game in a previous poll, and Devilman Crybaby was suggested upthread. So, plenty of entry points available!

Also known for being Maaya Sakamoto's first starring role. Plus roles from the voices of Toji Suzuhara, Kiki, and Pikachu!

Seconding this recommendation for Escaflowne because Hulk needs to know what a fantastic isekai looks like! This is one of my favorite shows of all time.
