The first chapter of Sukeban and Senpai is entirely done, and i can start with the secon at any point, but i've been having some doubts about what to do with the inking. For this comic i decided to use a Brush that is more similar to traditional manga to give that 90s feel, but i'm unsure as if that's going to be a good decision o i should use the brush i always use for my other comics.

So, the first image on top are panels from the chapter as i've drawn it, with the traditional manga brush. It gives a more classic feel, it's thicker, leading to thick lines and mass of black, and it's also less clean, more rugged.

The second image is a later ink i've done for test, using the brush i use in my Monster girls comics. It's cleaner, thinner, and it probably gives a little more control in details, tho i'm unsure about that, some of the differences may simply be how i inked the image in different days.

I know the differences may not be very noticeable unless you zoom, but nonetheless i tend to worry about this shit way too much, so i wanted to check which you think looks better.

I voted top but there is a lot to unpack there. I think the bottom is definitely higher quality but I like the style of the top one more. So much of art is about the limitations and imperfections of the medium and the stylistic choices you make. I think that the mixed white and black dash lines look way better than the pure black lines, for example. I think you need to combine the two styles and play around with shading some more to get it right. My biggest criticism is that neither of these two images seem finished.

Oh the white lines are because the top one is taken from the finished comic but the other one is just a test so it doesn't have all the effects i would use. Both are stripped of sound effects and text too, i wanted to focus on the inking.
