Concept art - K'sara (Patreon)

This was the first quick (and bad) sketch for K'sara, the salamander. Originally, K'sara was gonna be a human with the same head, hair, weapon and personality, but different clothes, and different companions. DunDun and TicTic were originally gonna be two human male twins with conservative views about hunting who would collide with Reika and Leika's progressive views. And while Europa already existed as an independent character, she was initially not part of the team, but instead a Slaz would fill her place and be confronted with Rakunda. At some point i decided to give more presence to the monster races that were on the background with no relevant pressence, and so made K'sara into a salamander proud of her heritage, accompanied by two panda ants, and creating a love-hate relationship with the half winged Europa. As K'sara and her team has become one of the most charismatic characters in the comic, it seems this was a good idea. The design has remained more or less the same as the first sketch, the face was different, the hands and legs were smalled and there's some few different details. Originalmente, K'sara iba a ser una humana, con la misma cabeza, pelo, arma y personalidad, pero diferente ropa y diferentes compañeros. DunDun y TicTic iban a ser varones gemelos humanos con una visión conservadora sobre la caza que chocarían con la visión progresista de la gemelas Reika y Leika. Y mientras Europa ya existía como un personaje independiente, no formaba parte de este equipo, sino que un slaz enfrentado con Rakunda iba a tomar ese lugar. En un momento dado decidí dar más protagonismo a razas de monstruos que estaban en el trasfondo pero no habían tenido peso, así que convertí a K'sara en una salamandra orgullosa de su raza, acompañada de dos hormigas panda y la semi alada Europa. Teniendo en cuenta que se han convertido en unos de los personajes más carismaticos del comic, esto fue una buena idea. El diseño ha permanecido más o menos igual, la cara es distinta, los brazos y piernas eran más pequeños y hay algunos detalles distintos.
