PS!!!: I will not finish that I rather keep drawing on the 2 sketches I have left and then start something new!

So I worked the whole day on it! It s a lot of fun but far away from perfect ;;
For my first animation I think it is okay? I  already see how I can improve next time but so far my skill lvl is still so low that I can't promise anything ;: I still hope you guys kinda like it! I plan to put a bg into it and some shading, to challenge myself a bit more!

Looks awesome

You need more EXP to level up. Time to stay up all night and grind.

I already love it and I'm sure everyone do as well! Keep making progress and take your time.🤩

Not bad at all! I think the biggest hindrance this time was the choice of movement. But experience is key! Keep it up!

rainbowscreenart

Yeah its a huge diffrents and nothing I can do right now. I mean my drawings set the expertations high for good Animations. At least it feels like it

Hell's_Paladin

Nice progress i see, looks nice

Beautiful! Is she rotating her hips downward and up? I kinda see that bit of rotation in the animation as her rear is projected forward. Though, I'm not an artist and have no knowledge on the inner workings, I do admire alot of animation on a regular basis. It's just the lines tell me that as she pushes her butt towards the camera, her hips tilt inward.

rainbowscreenart

Sry I don't really see what you mean? She is pushing her but towards the camera and then when she gets back her hips get tilt inward. Thats at least how I see it?

Clearstag

Sorry. Not too good at explanations. It looks, to me at this stage, like she's pushing her hips towards the viewer. Because of this, my mind sees her butt tilting. Almost like she's teasingly giving a twerking gesture. Though, not as exaggerated.

Clearstag

Ok! Sorry again. I was just making sure that was the goal. So I'm notcrazy and distracted too much by the puss's puss. XD

No all good! I understand if people see something diffrent. I mean my skill lvl is still so low. Just started this month and I still need to learn a lot XDD

This is actually pretty good for a beginner animation. The major key frames are all there, the motion makes sense, it loops easily and effectively... Really what needs improvement (and is honestly the hardest part anyway) is putting in some more frames to help smooth out the motion.

Nightseer Night

Oh how exciting! Imagine where you'll be by next year if you keep it up! Keep up the great work!

rainbowscreenart

I still consider to keep working on it or if I should just let it go how it is atm and try better on the next one XD I still don't know how the whole slow in slow out thing works really and what the best Timing is. Guess thats all stuff that comes with practices TwT

New Frame Plus on YouTube is made by a video game animator, it has several videos about video game animation. He also has a work-in-progress playlist dedicated to the 12 Principles of Animation, currently only has videos for 4 of the principles. Could be something to check out.

Very nice! As Rosetta said above, the only thing you need to improve or get comfortable with is either do more or fewer frames. Some Animators do close to 60 frames per second (fps), which is complicated, however, you can use yourself or your girlfriend as a reference. All animators that go to College, such as Studio Ghibli, study hard on getting animation right. In the Studio Ghibli Museum, the animators have to capture life at the moment, they have a playground where the animator students draw the kids as they play. That's why most Studio Ghibli films get their children's characters as accurate as possible. Since your beginning, I would say increase the frames by two each time you make a piece. It's a simple goal to reach up to 30 fps, which I believe most animators use as a baseline for their content. I know you can do this, you've been doing so very well and Mochi's butt looks cute. I hope this advice and knowledge will help you in the long run!

Actually the standart for 2D is 24 fps but! When I would change it to that the timing would be off and the movemenr would look super diffrent. I really don't think that the 30-60fps is something I need to put up as a goal since this is a Gif and not even a Video. Those are atm 12fps and if I would change it to something lower or higher it would move complitly diffrent. Also I know I can use my GF but the tricky part is non of us has the body typ my OCs have which makes stuff already complexer since the body movement reacts complity diffrent XD I can already rarly use her or me for any poses I wanna do. One of the tutorials I watchef also said he does 2 frames for one drawing. But I didn't even understood how to work with that :"3 Its really not tjat easy if nobody explains you why or how The best advice I would really be is by artist who work with the same programm and also are more expirence with animation to explain me all the things that I still don't get, like in a deeper way.

rainbowscreenart

Video game animation is not 2D frame by frame Animation. It makes a huge diffrents no matter if he also follows the 12 Principles of animation which is the basic anyway. But thanks for the tipp anyway. If you find helpful 2D animator you can tell me!

This is outstanding!
