Kaguya Shinomiya (Japanese: 四宮しのみやかぐや, Roman: Shinomiya Kaguya?) is the main character of the manga, light novel and anime Lady Kaguya: Love is like War. A second year student at Shuchiin Academy and the vice president of the 67th and 68th student councils. She is also a member of the archery club.
Kaguya is a beautiful young girl with long black hair, snow-white skin, a slender body and red eyes. Her hair is always well-groomed and tied with a red ribbon. The ribbon is her attempt to make her hair look less imposing and more cute. Before Kaguya joined the student council, she wore her hair down. After joining the student council, she asks her maid, Ai Hayasaka, to make her cuter. It is not yet known for certain whether there is any reason or story that led to this change in image. She is usually dressed in the Shuchiin Academy uniform.
