A Week in Indiana (Patreon)

This all started out in a chat where someone was trying pretty hard to get me to fly to him. I didn't really take the offer all that serious, but it was fun to think about it. What could happen? So I started to write a trip more or less how I would have planned it, and then threw in some plausible transformation. My first idea was to just have a single thing. I've never written about nipple enlargement, so lets do that. Have the hypno-stuff be completely ineffective. Perhaps throw in a haircut, since it is a simple but very visible transformation. Then he runs away to the hotel, and there discovers he is now nocturnally incontinent. End of story.

As I begun to write the story, I was more and more interested in some hypnotic effect taking hold, which became more and more apparent the closer to the end we get. It should perhaps have been dialed back a bit, but I'm very happy with how it ended up.

As you can tell, I spent a bit of time thinking about the post transformation attire. I was considering adding a big watch as well, and spent too much time looking at arms online...

After I had already published the story I found this photo of the kind of shorts I was imagining. I would probably have altered the colors in the story to match these, even if I hadn't included the photo, which I probably would not. The reason is the same as to why I tend to use brand names and real products overall. I think it makes the story feel more real when people are making specific choices. He is not staying at a hotel, he is staying at an Holidy Inn. He is not drinking a soda, he is drinking a diet Coke. They are not eating Chinese, they are eating P.F.Chang's.

I guess this photo could have been some inspiration as well.
