Varren Adopts FOR SALE (Patreon)

I've been hanging on to these because I wasnt sure where to post them exactly. Instagram isn't image friendly and I don't know many people there into mass effect, never had much luck with tumblr but I think I'll give it a go somehow, and I thought about posting these on CDN but then I quit.

Each varren is $25 and comes with a little backstory

Blue Roan - One of the "beginner" colors for varren breeders and their venture into discovering more. The metallic blue varren who are paired with the common varren can usually produce a variation of this color 8 out of 10 times.

Blood Bay - a popular color sought after by many krogan. Varren that live in the wilds or Urdnot territory have a higher chance of this color compared to their domesticated kin. Krogan don't want to destroy the lineage that produces this color by capturing the wild varren so many hunters prefer to let their female varren run with these packs temporarily instead. 3 out of 7 pups tend to be born with the blood bay gene.

Skewbald - This color is a guarded secret of the Thax Clan. Centuries of selective and humane breeding have produced such a unique color that is not found anywhere else on Tuchanka or the galaxy. And if you do see it, you know its a Thax clan breed! It's popular with non-krogan of social elite circles as a testament to their wealth. To protect their work from being claimed as a rival design, Thax have detailed records of every varren born, right down to their unique spots and markings. If buyers plan to breed their varren with hopes to pass on the color they have to follow strict and expensive regulations because the color does not run true in offspring unless it's another Skewbald.

Golden - Maned varren are a rarity, but one of a golden color is a kingly prize. No hunter or breeder have discovered how to pass this on to other varren. Midas, the gold varren of Battlemother Raik Surnu, has sired many pups with a 1% chance of the color running true. The bids for these pups are lucrative, and despite their rarity, it has set Surnu up for life.

Splash White - Meanwhile, Clan Thax and Clan Ravanor seem to have another success on their hands. The two clans have managed to breed a variation of the skewbald gene into Ravanor's maned varren stock producing a striking color. Any krogan looking to learn their trade are put through several grueling rites of secrecy. And a Splash White varren can cost anyone a small fortune. 

Leopard - The leopard gene was discovered by the Tardan Clan and noted how it only appeared in the maned varren breed. Many suspect this line could be how Thax Clan developed their Skewbald pattern but even if that were the case the Leopard color only appears in offspring 20% of the time
