[NSFW] Love Bites (Patreon)

Love Bites or Odaxelagnia is a paraphilia involving sexual arousal through biting or being bitten. Odaxelagnia is considered a mild form of sadomasochism.

What it does:

  • Replaces the "Recently Bitten" Moodlet with a custom Flirty Moodlet while keeping the lock-out timer.
  • Autonomous Romantic Socials: Offer to Bite, Beg to be Bitten, & Kiss of Devotion
  • Non-Autonomous Friendly: Break Devotion, Offer to Feed
Note about Socials: Kiss of Devotion will Only show for Sims that have a Boyfriend/Girlfriend, are Engaged, or Married. Break Devotion should Only be Available for Sims who are Broken Up or Divorced.

Important Note: You can use LMS's Vampire Powers; the only conflict is the "Turn Target into a willing victim" power which may not work with this Trait installed. All other powers work perfectly. I use this mod myself for the ability to eat human food.

Updates:

  • August 5, 2020: Fixed Testset on Romantic interaction Should now only show under Romance for Vampires when targeting a Sim with this Trait. (Both Versions)
  • September 8, 2020: OVERHAUL !! Removed old social & Add 2 new ones with new outcome Moodlets. [Beg to Be Bitten & Offer to Bite]
  • November 12, 2020: Unsure about this change but I thought it was stupid that Ethan who I sort of designed this trait would tell Oliver No when asking permission to Bite. So, I fixed that. Any sim with this trait can no longer say No when asked permission to bite. This change was included in both. This may now Conflict with Mods that use vampire_AskPermissionToDrink Interaction tuning.
  • February 10, 2021: Added Kiss of Devotion for Traited Sims in Committed Relationships. This fits my Vampire Lore & Request: "When they are bitten they are vulnerable. So when a Human Sim kisses the Neck of their Vampire Partner it symbolizes Trust & Respect, but overall Love. Intimacy is not just sex, but how you care for the one you Love."
  • May 13, 2021: Updated for Patch [PC: 1.74.59.1030 / Mac: 1.74.59.1230] - Fixed Asking for Permission to Drink failing when it should not.
  • May 22, 2021: Added Devoted Master & Devoted Lover Relbits. When using Kiss of Devotion, it will now apply these RelBits. If the two Devoted Lovers Break Up or Divorce, the Traited sim will need to use Break Devotion to remove their Blood Bound Romantic Contract. This will then remove the Master/Lover Relbits from both Sims.
  • May 26, 2021: Fixed Vampire version not being allowed for Vampire.
  • June 5, 2021: Made Relbits more in-depth for Romance. The flavor text on Devoted Lover was also Changed.
  • June 7, 2021: Updated Break Devotion for New RelBits Separated & Mutually Broken Up from Mutual Ends.
  • August 22, 2021: Fixed Break Devotion interaction not properly showing up.
  • January 8, 2022: Added Offer to Feed Social that works between Committed Couples.
  • September 4, 2022: Fixed Normal Version allowing Vampires to Feed off other Vampires.
  • April 19, 2023: Removed RelBits and Made conflict with Shared Immortality.

Does this only work with vampires, will it work for where wolf couples too?

Thank you so much for this, it's excellent! I was wondering if you would think about making a trait similar to this but for non-NSFW content like instead of it igniting the flirty emotion it could randomly give people energy or confidence. I was thinking it could be something like "donate blood" or something like that. Anyway, keep up the great work, love your work! <3

Hmm, that's an interesting idea... I'll have to think about it. I did see not long ago a blood donation mod, but it had nothing to do with vampires I believe. Thank you for this!

li don't think "Vampire can kill" will work well with "Lovebite" as their intructions is a bit outdated? like, where's loot_VampireDrink_TastySim? i can't seem to find that, if you rename it to something else, can you please tell me

That 'loot_vampiredrink_tastysim' isn't in my mod. And I am aware they may not work together anymore. I'm not sure if Zero even mods anymore. I can remove the note and change to them conflicting if you think that's better.

yes, thanks for reaching out to me, i think i'll go ahead and remove Zero's mod so i can use "lovebite" mod and see if there's any other Zero's Vampire can kill mod if there's one!

hey there, i'm a bit confused, i remove Zero's vampire can mod and somehow can't still select trait Odaxelagnia from reward store? i have Xml and everything and the sim is a vampire so i'm kinda lost?

yea because Odaxelagnia is mine, and not part of zero's mod. And it sounds like you downloaded the vampires one instead, which allows vampires to bite other vampires. you only want one version.

ok i just figured it out, when i apply the lovebite_vampires, it work but the Lovebites normal one, it doesn't work?

How can I use the non vampire love bites? Can I make a regular sim bite? Or ask to be bitten?

the vampire version allows vampires to bite other vampires, so the non vampire version the trait can only be added non vampire sims, and be bitten by vampire sims.

i love this so much! but is normal that the interactions don't show up between people with romance? it only shows up when the sims don't have the romance bar

get what to work? kiss of devotion will only show up once the sims are either boyfriend/girlfriend, engaged, or married. While Break Devotion should only show up as long as the sims have the Relbit Broken Up, Divorced, Mutually Broken up, or Separated. The post should explain how everything works. If something isn't working, please let me know, and I will look into it.

This no longer works in my game since the last patch. I thought it might be a compatibility issue with Vampires can kill, but I took that mod out and it still doesn't work.

The trait doesn't show in the rewards store any longer, and it has been removed from my Sims that had it.

As long as you have the xml injector it should show just fine. As well depending on the version. One is allowed for vampire, one is not. It shows just fine in my own game and works perfectly on my sim.

Hmm... after the cottage living expansion the option to drink from neck is gone. The moodlets are fine as is the fetish trait, but its a super bummer that my vampire can't drink from his husband's neck and gets shoved away after drinking from his wrist :(

Shows just fine for me. As long as you have the XML injector and the script isn't more than one folder deep it should work.

Im really enjoying love bites! I recently decided I wanted to downloaded zeros vampires can kill but Im not seeing the required file to make love bites safe to use with it. Can someone help me with that?

Both versions appear to be exactly the same. My vampires can suddenly feed off of each other using the normal version.

You may have another mod that allows it. I actually uploaded a separate vampire to vampire file way before making this I believe. You would need to test the non vampire one alone.
