So first some positive news. I got the job at Amazon I was hoping for. It should allow me to heal a little bit as it isn't as labor-intensive. It comes with a modest pay raise which is great. Plus, my schedule goes for 4 10 hour day to 3 12 hour days. That starts this Sunday the 16th.

Now for the terrible news. Remember the whole floor thing? Well it turns out our water heater has been leaking very slowly for months. It was so slow, the water bill never got higher and it was still functioning. I thought the water was coming from outside honestly. Now the water heater is in the garage. The garage is a place where stuff just gets thrown (I know that sounds bad, but night shift plus a 4 year old equals tossing stuff). I say that because the water heater was blocked off from view for a long time. When I finally started organizing the garage, I found the sheetrock full of mold and the box the water heater on completely soaked.

Wanna know the worst thing? The insurance company isn't going to cover a single penny. If the water heater would have exploded, no problem. However, since they deem this normal wear and tear of the water heater, they won't cover anything. Part of me understands this while the other part of me wants to lay siege to State Farm. I get normal wear and tear, but there was nothing to alert us to a leak. Water bill stayed constant. The floor situation wasn't really getting worse. It was just constantly cold and in places, deteriorating.

So, what does this mean for content?

I don't know when, but soon, I will lose my office for approximately two weeks. They say it will take 10 days just to dry out everything. Once they are scheduled to come out, I have to move everything out of my office. Rendering anything is going to either be impossible, or maybe I can try to create a small work area. Problem is, there isn't room anywhere to do that in the house.

I start work tomorrow, and am trying to get Something together for the Patreon comic before everything needs to be packed up. If they are going to come next week, I might take a day off work to try and get more done. Basically, I don't know what, if anything I'm going to be able to do this month. I also don't know how I'm going to come up with the money needed for this whole house fix. I have a little saved up but I don't think it's going to be enough.

What I do know is, I'm trying my best to get something ready for you all this month. Suggestions may not happen. Any current commissions probably will not be started until I get my office back. No new commissions will be taken until I'm operational again. Please be patient with me on this. It's a lot to take in from my side and I'm trying to deal with everything as best as I can.

Take all the time you need phoenix. You have to prioritize your home and health.

Do you have a Kofi or something that I can make a one time donation to? I can't at the moment, but when I get paid next week, I'd like to help out. At least a bit

I do have one. If you go to my deviant art page, it’s linked in the description of every post. ^^
