33:31 don't worry Cannon I support you, he's a good husband

Tiga

I think it's important to understand Aang's anger. Appa is his family and one of his only remaining ties to his culture/people :((

Tiga

Cactus juice sokka memes back in the day were peak 😂

metalgearbear

Was just thinking this! I don't like that he was lashing out at the gang, but it's totally reasonable why he's feeling intensely. Losing his last remaining tie and family to the Air culture after 100 years is painful.

Goatchis

Some of yall are kinda harsh on zuko and aang when they do emotional/kid things haha otherwise good vid

Tiga

So excited for eps 14-15 😩

Marissa

carter's face when cannon kept repeating Katara's name at the end is legendary.

Hunter Snider

Katara's the GOAT dude. Watching as a kid I didn't appreciate her as much, but she's so dependable and idk if they would've made it out of that desert without her

baisenri

the way I see it, aang and appa are like roku and his dragon. they are extremely bonded companions that transcend lifetimes so I can understand why he’s so distraught. pls be easy on my boy he’s only 12 🥹

LuvStarburst

The first time you see the rough rhinos they look badass but they stay getting their shit rocked

Jay zay

Nah u been too hard on my boy aang😭😭

bondbond53

Timothee can fuck off after the skits he participated in SNL recently

Asbjørn Kennedy

It’s totally valid to be frustrated with Aang here. I like Aang and I understand why he is so upset, and that he’s just a kid - all of that may explain his behavior, but it doesn’t change that fact that his behavior is frustrating to see.

Sasha

Brig being the single defender of the writers.

Sasha

Kylie Jenner and now what. What did boy do there?

Sasha

Cannon W, Mushroom Girl and Maddie L

Michael H

It’s a 12 year old kid who lost literally his entire civilization (just a few months ago by his point of view). The only friend and connection he has left from that time is Appa, and you guys over here slamming him for temporarily losing his shit lol

Jed

Appa is more essential to the group, however Katara is more valuable IMO cause she keep the group stable. Without Appa traveling is a pain but without Katara...Aang would be pissed all the time.

Michael H

Carter/Cannon change their minds? That’s cool. Comment still stands, though.

Hunter Snider

It's a bit of a copout answer but honestly the thing that's so great about ATLA is that every single member of the Gaang has absolutely critical contributions. They all need each other. So it's hard to play the comparison game but if I had to, I don't think it's possible to find a higher utility player than Appa tbh. Their entire journey is just a non-starter without him, everything becomes completely impossible.

Michael H

I was talking about Brig and Maddie being annoyed at Aang. I didn’t watch the last couple minutes of the discussion, though, so maybe you and Carter managed to convince them otherwise. Regardless, the important thing is that foot-massaging definitely falls under the “good husband” category, and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Ronen

who is mushroom girl and why did she take shrooms?

Shpitz

Probably didn't watch the show in a decade but I still remembered the "it's a giant mushroom! Maybe it's friendly" line by sokka

Sasha

They called Addie a Mushroom Girl in some other episode. Some inside joke I guess.

Gestrid

Yeah, Aang was a bit annoying here, but I kinda understand. He's an immensely angry 12-year-old with nowhere to direct it. Like he said, he couldn't control it. There was one point in my own life where something happened, and, no matter what was going on, I just couldn't get my mind off of what happened. I wasn't angry, but I was grieving immensely. Someone I knew was, at the time, in a potentially life-threatening situation that put them in the hospital for a few days, and I and the doctors didn't know what was going on for that first day or two. Fortunately, that person ended up not having anything serious going on, and they were released without issue, but those days they were in the hospital were the darkest days of my life so far. So, in a way, I can kind of relate to Aang feeling and acting how he did.

It always alluded me as a kid that the significance of Aang killing the giant vulture wasp is that he’s a vegetarian because the main belief of the monks is all life is sacred. So for a vegetarian to kill an animal for no other purpose was peak subtle character details!
