ssj4rit

So has McKay watched all of HxH?

Coen

another upload you guys are blessing us

Unika Ang

Chrollo was really thinking about why when he answered the Gon question, which I found strange at first, and then realized that Chrollo he was always searching for himself, and for a long time he thought of spiders as a personification of his personality.

rosa_gris

The negotiation scene never fails to crack me up. Love how good HxH is at adding humour to serious moments.

rosa_gris

I might be misremembering but I thought he hasn’t seen the last arc, so we can can go in blind with the boys.

ssj4rit

Chimera is GOATed so that’s fine. I also didn’t watch the arc after for years.

Nazerke K

Hisoka vs Chrollo, who do you think would win? 🤔 I don’t want them to die

Mysterious Figure

If Pakunoda simply scanned Hisoka after the scene with the fortunes where Hisoka was clearly being suspiciously involved with something the Troupe doesn't understand completely, everything would have played out a lot differently. Seems like a weird plot hole or just a silly writing choice.

LuvStarburst

I managed to get specialist as my nen so thats interesting

Anonymous

Wouldn't they just assume that the "Sword of Law" would activate if information was shared via any means? And they have no idea what triggering the ability would even do. I mean, you've seen the next episode, right?

fcitifciti12

I mean Chrollo thought the chain user put a rule/nen blade at Hisoka right. So it just makes sense that Pakunoda will not scan Hisoka as it will break the rule, so it’s not a plot hole.

BennLimos

Not wanting Paku to go alone has such relevance to what’s revealed in the latest manga chapters

Jyle

y’all have not seen 58 lol😂

SoreDakeNoKoto

Why tf would Hisoka let anyone "scan" him? He's been "instructed" not to reveal anything. Knowingly letting anyone get the info out of him, certainly counts as that, in any reasonable interpretation -- at the very least, you wouldn't bet your life on it not counting. Even Kurapika shows the common sense here to tell Pakunoda, "no communication", and gives a bunch of examples -- not just something as dumb as "no talking". Pakunoda's ability isn't some passive OP "scanning" -- it requires questions and touch. Which means the only way they can get answers from Hisoka that way is by forcibly subduing him first. And Hisoka already said he's ready to defend himself one way or another, since he'd be fucked if they learn the truth.

Jimmy Gilligan

Have you guys ever thought about watching my hero?

Davdav

They don't like weird cheesy japanese humor, and this anime is full of that. Bad recommendation

Shpitz

Gotta gush about the troupe for a bit. I haven't seen any other shonen ever flash out 12 antagonists, whose powers complement each other, and who operate together. This even furthers the scope of Nen, if you're thinking of other shonens you'd just say the enhancers are the best since they're the best fighters. But the troupe just shows you how OP people can be with barely any fighting ability. People like Pakunda and Kurtopy have probably no use in battle, but they are without a doubt OP with their abilities. This really only works because the troupe is so well rounded with other members covering for each others weaknesses. It is beyond me how the author managed to juggle so many characters at once making them all relevant(or most of them at least). Creating an enemy that feels so unbeatable while none of them alone is insanely powerful(and the most conventionally powerful one was the first to die). This is another aspect that Naruto took inspiration with for example with Akatsuki, but Naruto made basically all of them insanely powerful, and made them only come alone or in pairs. Nowhere near the amount of synergy the troupe has.

Shiro

Personally, I hate battle anime because the power levels are not clear and I really wonder how can someone sustain so much damage and not die. However, Nen is such a cool system where information and personalization of ones abilities plays such a crucial role. Even the PT members do not fully know each others abilities and keeping ones abilities secret is such a huge advantage in any given situation! Also, even if your ability is not conventionally powerful, given the right situation and conditions, you can still win. So information and strategy are the key to win any conflict. Also, to add to your point, yes, it is so much cooler that each troupe members abilities complement each other. Kortopi is perfect for stealing given they are thieves, Paku and Shal for great at intelligence gathering and interrogation, etc. Even if the troupe fights in pairs, the number of combo attacks that one can come up with is so cool!

ssj4rit

I swear so many questions could be answered by just paying attention…

Mysterious Figure

Hisoka kept saying "I cannot say". So that should imply to the rest of the troupe you COULD read his mind. None of the troupe even mentioned the possibility of using Pakunoda's power, and Chrollo even said "the ability that kept Hisoka from speaking" using those exact words. It's just funny how much denial you guys are in from all the white knighting you do for this show.

kiiturii

manga readers try not to talk about manga spoilers challenge impossible

ssj4rit

And in that same conversation you are citing, Chrollo says immediately after "Since the fortune uses the phrase "Sword of Law," the latter must be able to compel you to follow a set of rules. 'Do not lie to me.' 'Do not give out any information about me.' Clearly he is assuming the sword of law prevents Hisoka from "giving out" information in any way, not just by talking. Otherwise there are obvious alternatives they would have brought up like writing the information. It's not white-knighting, people are just giving the obvious explanation. There are oversights in the show sometimes, like Gon sometimes using superspeed and sometimes not, but just because people defend things with evidence doesn't mean they're suddenly white-knighting lol.

Ramennn

When will be the next upload, guys? Next week? :>>

C E.

Carter, I think you fit being a manipulator. That is Zushi’s category too!

Matthew Valentine

so funny how angry killua gets when the plans get changed and people don't listen to him. He just wants the best for his homies lol

Jimmy Gilligan

They also like big fight scenes with good animation which is the staple of that show. I know it can be cringy but the community for it has made it way worse than what the show is actually like

Mike Donohue

They love marvel and the MCU, they’d love my hero don’t kid yourself

Gabriel Dent

im genuinely surprised there were no comments zbout Pakunodas rack this whole time. Hats off to you gentlemen

Faris Alamin

I like Marvel and the MCU and I think MHA peaked at the second season and is pretty mid apart from that. It's not the worst thing ever but I would never recommend it to someone.

Mysterious Figure

Seems to me that this is a bad writing choice. In some situations the Troupe is willing to put themselves at great risk, but in others it never crosses their own mind bc writing? They couldnt conclusively say if they "could" scan Hisoka's memories without consequence (they only assumed) but they didnt even entertain the idea, while in other situations they are prepared to sacrifice themselves for even less gain. Getting A LOT of information from Hisoka's memories about "the chain user" is more than worth the "risk" of not being sure if scanning Hisoka's memories would kill him or not. And even then, outright letting Hisoka die would be more in line with the Troupe's philosophy of doing things thus far. The risk of not knowing how much information about the Troupe's powers Hisoka actually gave to "the chain user" puts the Troupe in an even greater risk of death, than them taking the risk and just outright scanning Hisoka's memory. It's an inconsistency with how the Troupe, or rather Chrollo has been doing things thus far. I mean, it's nothing major, probably more of a nitpick on my part to be honest. It's just weird how sometimes ppl just choose to ignore stuff that's kinda silly if they have already decided something is perfect in their own mind.

Mr.Flakes3

Did anyone else see the Kite look alike near the beginning?

Ashley

LMAO it's literally anime, you'd have to be a child or obsessed with p*rn to be focusing on that with such a crazy plot going on

ssj4rit

Sorry my comment got deleted somehow. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Personally the way I saw it is Chrollo calmed everyone down and they thought of a different way to get the info they needed without anyone needing to die (Kortopi's ability) before making any moves. But I see your point in just suggesting they gang up on Hisoka and get the info they need immediately (even though it would've caused bloodshed because Hisoka said he'd defend himself). Both options are viable perhaps, personally I don't see Chrollo as a leader who would toss away a valuable member as a first reaction to a situation, at least not without some further thought and planning. Potentially had they no other alternatives and more members died and there was no way to find out who the Chain User was, would he have risked Hisoka's life eventually to get that information? Perhaps. Was he at that point of despair and urgency at the moment though? For me it did not seem so, hence why he calmed the situation down and thought further. But maybe that's just me and my read on the subtext and scene is wrong, to each their own.

leah

brig took his first ever L in this video... you like ILLUMI????

The Ear from Vinland Saga makes a return.
