I know you guys still have a long way to go for AoT. But I really wanted to suggest Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for your next reaction. It's only 10 episodes long. It's based on the game Cyberpunk. It's not your typical anime. I get the feeling that you'll like it. Also, the dub for it has great voice acting and is better to watch unless you speak Japanese.

I don't like the part where Eren names all of the squad but the subtitles just say "sir". Maybe a crunchyroll subscription would fix that lol

you guys would LOVE Vinland Saga haha, but death note would definitely be a good pick too – also, Monster. Vinland Saga season 2 just aired so maybe it would be better to wait until all of it comes out and watch Death Note first instead.

If you're like me and a lot of people, you'll catch on some japanese phrases they repeat and even know when the subtitles are wrong. One of the important and repeated phrases they say is something like "Tatakeyo", which can be translated into something different depending on the situation but overall I think it just means "fight"

Hmm🤔 I’ve never heard of death note and AOT is written by the same guy. From what I know, AOT is the first and only story written by Isayama. I think they just are animated from the same director.

Anime has so many genres. You just have to pick the one for your taste. If you want suspense/thriller go for AOT. If you want mystery/psychological thriller go for Death Note. If you want full-packed action/ninja go for Naruto. And if you want adventure/fantasy/pirate go for One Piece. Each one is the best for its genre.

perhaps im a little biased but the way ive always thought of it is just that as long as ur issue isnt just animated shows/movies in general then theres always gonna be something in it for everyone - while its true there r def some common tropes and such in a lot of them the frequency and stuff still varies a lot depending on what ur goin for. at the end of the day animes just japanese animations, with as many genres and subcategories as any other media, if not more 🤧🤧 anyhow so excited for the next upload! always happy to see another~ 🤩

I get being "an anime hater" in a sense, i am too in some regards. I also find many of its tropes cringy and stuff, its about finding the animes where you can ignore it / learn to accept it. I only watch the animes ive been recormended by friends, like AOT, SAO, MHA and Demon Slayer. These are great, tho AOT is the GOAT...

Yeah, Hajime Isayama wrote AoT and Tsugumi Ohba wrote Deathnote I definitely think Carter and Cannon would enjoy Deathnote. It takes itself seriously and is also big brain plot

I read the manga so I know how this all ends, but I started with watching season 1 anime when it was out and that damned 4 year wait for season 2 was what drove me to the manga. Right now it feels like torture to wait 1 week for The Last of Us episode 2...

Can not wait for you guys to get to season 2 and 3! Those seasons are literally GOATED. I always battle with myself on which I like more. ALSO please watch Levi’s backstory before season 2! It’s 2 parts and adds so much volume to his character!!!

It’s very entertaining watching y’all. Keep up the good work, I’m excited to see how the “haters” respond to the insanity that is seasons 2-4. I felt like I was getting whiplash every arc with how good it was and all the theories I had getting either destroyed or confirmed. I have watched very little anime for most of the same reasons y’all have. I’ve had people recommend both Death Note and Vinland Saga to me, so those would be good choices for what comes after AOT I’m sure. Y’all could also watch Arcane on Netflix for a short series since it is only 9 episodes (not anime but animated and S-tier). Your reactions would be great.

Death note is definitely one of those animes that you kinda just have to watch whether it looks interesting or not. I think it’s also cause it hit mainstream viewership when Netflix made a live action reboot of it. It’s personally not anywhere near my favorite but it’s a classic

Y’all might like “Erased” it’s a short 12 episode anime and it somewhat deals with the same format at AOT where there’s a lot of twists and a bit of foreshadowing
