[TEASER] Han Seunghyun (Patreon)

Honestly I haven't finalized Seunghyun's face until like a few days ago, so he may look different from his brief appearance  in previous flashback... he's mostly shown without a face though. My initial concept of him that doesn't change is him wearing (black) gloves to cover his disfigured fingers. Similar to Seunggyo, Seunghyun's childhood was also torture. the Han family truly believed that the only way to raise a strong child is basically to throw them to a mountain in a winter to fend for themselves among actual wolves - metaphorically, though back then they did this literally. Seunghyun's body is littered with scars and his fingers are permanently disfigured from burnt marks. 

I don't plan to redeem him though. Seunghyun's bad childhood explains why he thinks he's doing the 'right thing' when he raised his golf stick on Gyo, but it's not an excuse.

Seunghyun had many chances to learn how to love and be loved. His first wife Chaeyeon might not love him romantically but she sympathized with his childhood and wanted to be his friend, but he pushed her away, seeing their marriage as nothing but obligation to continue his family's pure bloodline. Some of men he dated actually admired and looked up to him, but he's only looking for sex and power.

In short, he's exactly what Jinsoo called him: a sadistic degenerate.
