It's a freebie for everyone! Here's my ad-free commentary on BitMusical #01, Ode to Minions. At 12 minutes long, it's a chunker, so pop it on while you clean the dishes, give the dog her ear medicine, etc.

Let me know how you guys like it. Watching it now, I kind of wonder if I should've talked more about the songwriting process, but since this one was mostly written over a decade ago, I focused more on the remake elements and why I changed what I did, as well as some readers' comments in the past. Are there specific topics for songs you'd like for me to cover more in future commentaries? This is a pretty new experience for me, so I'm interested to hear what you guys are looking for in these!

All future commentaries are going to remain rewards for the Warp Whistle tier and higher, starting with One-Note Song next week.

In Waluigi book news, every one of you at the 6 or above tier (who joined before July 11) is entitled to one, but I just learned that a few of you may have slipped through the cracks! If that's the case, please message me here on Patreon if you haven't gotten your code for the free hardcover book. That goes for those of you who joined before the promotion as well!

Waluigi's wonderfully rancid presence now shares a comfy spot between a D&D Monster Manual and a book on pirate history on my bookshelf! Happy to have got it!

Loved hearing your thoughts on why you changed things for this remake. I know the og was one of your first musical comics and I loved it then too

PigDan

I loved it! It was an interesting new thing to watch from you! Looking forward to more of 'em

Would be really curious to hear how you would possibly extend History of Nintendo 10+ years on. It's kind of a We Didn't Start the Fire for video game history, haha

Matthew Taranto

I don't have any immediate plans to remake History of Nintendo, but maybe down the line when they have another system or something. It'd definitely be a big, chunky song at that point...!
