A new version of the game has been released and is now available for Patreons. Here's a summary of the major updates:

  • Track physics overhaul: The track physics have been completely rewritten from scratch, which also involved retuning sleds. This has led to improvements in gameplay.
  • Track speed benefits: Previously, higher track speeds didn't provide any real advantage, leading to unusual strategies like holding the brake while driving. In the new version, high track speeds offer more propulsion, while low track speeds still have their benefits. This makes finding the optimal track speed a more interesting aspect of the game.
  • Engine power adjustments: Engine power now has a more meaningful impact on sled handling, and as a result of that, incorrect power adjustments were discovered. The issue, which caused sleds to have 165kW of power instead of the intended 123kW due to the use of the incorrect unit (hp instead of kW), has been fixed. Consequently, snow properties have been tweaked accordingly.
  • Running board mechanics: Based on a suggestion by Kennethmn, experimental running board mechanics have been introduced. Although there is no character yet, the general idea is that leaning is now less sensitive by default. However, players can hop onto the running board for more powerful leaning. There are four different running board mode options in the settings, so feel free to experiment and share your feedback!
  • Bug fixes: Several issues have been addressed, including the Shredder speedometer flickering with snow particles, graphics options not being fully applied at the start of the game, and minor Shredder 3D model errors.

This update does not contain any new snowmobiles so it's the same for all the Patreons. I do ship new content after 1 week just like month ago came.

Starting from the beginning of May, I am pleased to announce that I will be able to commit to this project on a roughly full-time basis. This increased dedication will allow for more rapid development and improvements to better serve the community. Your continued support is greatly appreciated, this wouldn't be possible without you. I look forward to bringing you even more exciting updates in the future.

Enjoy!
