Hello everyone, happy Friday. Hope this finds you all well and ready for the weekend.

I spent an unbelievable amount of time correcting this one. The original sketch I think captured the idea well but a lot of the positioning made no sense. My brother helped me out with the cat man's pose. Admittingly I made this much more challenging than I needed to but I really want to keep improving. I want to take time this weekend to mess with the 3D models in Clip to assist me in improving my skills regarding perspective. I redrew that cat dude's face way more times than I care to admit but you can see clearly in the video. lol

As always I planned little outside of just the characters. I thankfully didn't suffer too much on the background because I sort of knew what I wanted. I kept singing like a big band swing version of "Be our guest" in my head and that's the feeling I wanted to carry through on this. Not as "daring" as I would have wanted to make this but I still feel like it carries some fun energy. I used a different brush for lines this time. I was trying out this experimental brush I made a few months ago that is based on my normal pencil like lining brush but skewed to act more like a G pen. I really enjoyed drawing with it but I think the overall results are too clean? When I got to coloring it all felt to disconnected. It felt like I use to work and I didn't jive with it so well. Maybe it's more about how I went about coloring rather than the brush itself. Lately I've used only one or two layers and I paint with the background base as a color. In here I didn't so everything felt weird for a while. That sounds like it could be more of the problem.

Anyways plan more and experiment. Keep on working! Starting to catch up with my commission queue. :'>
