Commission-Manual Hero Time! (Patreon)

Evening everyone, today's been a LOOONG productive day. After posting the Honey illustration I got back to work on some other projects. I finished my day taking care of this commission for Ethan Gallardo the English voice actor of Manual in My Hero Academia. He's a super sweet dude I had the pleasure to meet a few years back at a NEWGROUNDS Pico Day event. At the end of the night he was passing around his sketchbook for people to draw in and I drew Manual for him. We've kept in touch over the years and I was really happy to have made this for him to take to conventions.

About the drawing 

Honestly not much to say here. Despite being exhausted and dealing with a ton of stress today I was able to achieve flow. Maybe from the lack of energy making me completely focus on the task or perhaps because I was excited to make this.

Manual isn't the coolest character but I really like what I've seen of him in the show. His design is also simple and cool. Originally when I drew him I wanted to show just how cool he could be but it ignored what makes him cool. Also I was a few beers in. This time around I wanted to bring out the nice guy coolness Manual I feel embodies but still giving him with some edge.

This took about 3-4 hours and was really nice to work on. I don't really have too much else to say really. Just happy.
