Iceberg Effect - Part 6 (Patreon)

“Well that date sucked.” Clarissa said, kicking off her heels as she arrived home. “At least the food was good.” She subconsciously rubbed her swollen belly. Clarissa had continued to test the waters of the dating pool, hoping from one date to another on the regular. She just always found a reason to not go on a second date, “Can you believe the size of the pimple on his nose? That's all I could look at all night.” no matter how vain the reasoning was. “I just feel like I deserve a man who has an unblemished face, is that too much to ask for?” Clarissa helped herself to an ice cream sandwich from her freezer, something she had been getting at the store recently, a little end of the night treat for herself.
Clarissa opened her dating app, it was full of guys she had matched with, and various conversations in a multitude of stages. Some were fresh from matches she had made recently, some were still trying to sweet talk her into saying yes to a date, others Clarissa had totally ghosted after one date never to return.
One thing that was for sure though, Clarissa’s going out attire was feeling tighter than ever. She sauntered into her bedroom to peel off her silky blouse and pencil skirt. The perfect first date always involved dinner, and with the number of dates Clarissa had been going on recently, she had been eating out a lot. Those extra calories had to go somewhere, and most of them had been sticking to Clarissa’s frame. Her skirt was the worst though, she had been barely able to button it before her date, but at this point the zipper wanted to burst at the seam considering all the rich Italian food she had eaten tonight. Her bra was not having the same sort of problem though, it seemed like any extra weight had all traveled south.
Slipping into some looser night attire, Clarissa polished off her ice cream sandwich and jumped back into her online dating app. Clarissa was just so classically attractive, guys were throwing themselves at her to take her out, which made her feel special. She wondered what she could ask them for to sweeten the deal.
“Maybe we can grab a cup of coffee sometime?” One of the guys said.
“Coffee? At least offer to take me to dinner.” She cast her net.
“Yeah dinner sounds great.” He replied eagerly.
“You think it’s that easy? Tell me the plan, paint me a picture Van Gogh.”
“Well I’d pick you up of course.” He started.
“Hope you have a nice car.” She played. “First impressions matter.”
“You’ll open your door to flowers and a box of chocolates.”
“Oh two of my favorites, you’re doing good.” She got him to continue.
“Then we will go to Garrison’s where we will have a corner table reserved, champagne waiting for us.”
“Oh so fancy.”
“After dinner I’ll take you to my favorite patisserie shop, right around the corner to cap off our evening.”
“Wow, when can we go?” She finally let him off the hook. She opened a new app on her phone and started to search for a new skit to wear to dinner.
