I went camping again! (Patreon)

This time it was a grand success! I went with some girlfriends for a few days at a provincial park. It was so nice to just relax and hang out with them. I was in definite need of some quality girl time. A few highlights:

Bobbing around the river in a kayak. We paddled all over the place and saw some really beautiful sites. A few blue herons (they are my favourite) and even a crayfish or two on the rocks. 

Falling asleep to the sound of frogs + crickets and waking up to the sound of loons calling each other on the water. Snuggly in my tent, my sleeping bag wrapped tightly around me. It was super humid the whole time but it got cold at night. There is nothing better than being comfy and warm with the night air nipping at your nose. 

Catching up around the campfire. Drinks flowing and all the fun naughty gossip was spilled. Turns out I am the campfire killer and cannot be trusted to keep it going or start it. We had to go get fire starters from the office in the end. We are utter failures and wouldn't last a night out if we were camping off grid. We all came armed with blowup mattresses and everything necessary for a proper car camping experience haha

A heat wave was setting in as we were leaving so we packed up quickly and headed home. It was a perfect few days out in the forest though.
